Re: Building for next season

Send Novakovic back out on loan to a Eredevision side Unless he signs a new deal before we let him go, he wouldn't return. Next season is last on his contract. Doubt if he doesn't get a chance here he'll sign again, which makes a loan less likely if we rate him but he isn't ready. Could be a stand ...

Re: Building for next season

Can we have Adrian Popa back please?! Agreed, always thought he got shunned by Stam, needs a bit more time to work in the team but i always thought he was a great option Attitude problems apparently Doubt this helps either. Chain-smoking a couple of weeks ago back in Romania between games for his loa...

Re: Nicky Hammond Leaves WBA

I was one of the many singling him out for abuse in his early days as RFC's DoF - and he proved me an UTTER bell-end by the time he left, (which to be fair isn't a hard task  ). I suppose the old adage is "never go back", but frankly most on HNA could do a better job of signing play...

Re: Stam Gone

Looking at the likes of Aluko,Ilori, Blackett,Clement et al it makes you wonder to what extent the club looked at this aspect, if at all. Clement has grown on me. Lacks experience and physical presence. Makes up with character and an ability to play 90 minutes. Still young though with time to impro...

We'll know this time next year I guess... remember costs are spread out over length of contract. So I doubt it'll be that high for transfers.

Re: Stam Gone

As others have said. FFP is calculated over a number of seasons, so even though we made a profit last year we're not necessarily in the green just yet. 39 million allowed over 3 years. losses: 2013/14 £7.3m (loss) 2014/15 £2.6m (profit) 2015/16 £15,034,948 (loss) 2016/17 £4,661,150 (profit) so this...

Re: Stam Gone

Well, Stam himself said that the club couldn't invest much in January because of FFP limits, so it's not a huge stretch to suggest his payout would affect that as well. I expect that the club have come to a deal with Stam to maybe spread his payout over a longer period instead of one lump sum, henc...

It also showed that the rumours we couldn't afford to sack Stam because of FFP were the crock of shit that they were. Re: You're Paul Clement - how do you set up for QPR?

One thing I'd not really considered was the internationals. A couple of them (Gunter and Bacuna) have had quite long journeys and played a couple of full games. Reckon Bacuna might not start for us for that reason. Quite possibly been working with a specific group in training without him there I se...

Re: Stam Gone

Great to see the mask has slipped for Denver Royal and he is having a full post Stam breakdown. Lovely stuff. I've read that reply to Muskrat about 3 times, and I still can't figure out what he's trying to say. No idea either, so I'd put it down to being "tired and emotional" I'm probably...

Re: Definitive Paul Clement whelmguage

Probably a 4 - 4.5 / 10 for me at the moment. I see him as a little more 'Reading way' style manager (in how we've recruited him, and his background) than Jaap. The approach we play shouldn't be a shock for him and I'm pleased we're persevering on passing foundations, rather than kick and rush. If w...
