Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

A good win and a very strong performance. Some of the inter-passing was quite brilliant, not matched by the finishing, and reliable stalwarts ( a word only ever used in football or a few other sports?) in Henderson and Milner provided the drive from midfield that so many other teams lack, Reading i...

Re: New Manager

I'm still more than a bit surprised with PC's departure at that time. He very much did seem to be changing our playing style for the better, and doing a good job of bringing through the youngsters. Results weren't great, but it seemed to be me to be clearly a work in progress. He was hampered by so...

Re: BFTG Sheffield

Once again we didn't have a shot on target ,we were playing at home and a team that should be battling to get out of the bottom 3. They gave us a chance by not starting their best creative player Duffy and of course there is always Billy Sharp. Watching Norwood it made me wonder why we didn't renew ...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

A good week for Liverpool-now the big one on Tuesday.
It was men v boys today at Bournemouth and Eddie Howe (5 defeats in the last 6 games) had no game plan other than let his players stand and admire.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield United (h) sponsored by Colin

Tricky selection dilemma for Marshall. It's not as if we have had a settled side with Clement making so many changes every week. I presume Jakkola is now our number one and Yiadom and Moore are automatics. After that, Rhino has made such a good start and Meite has to play. Then it is toss a coin tim...

He's your bread and butter type manager.

We need him to get us to rise in the league.

Re: New Manager

Gareth Ainsworth lives locally as well. I was at behind him at a secondary school open day a year ago and his son also plays U12's locally as I saw him at a football tournament a couple of summers ago (U10's then). As someone who coaches a boys football team, the idea of coaching the son of a footb...

Steve Coppell has just lost his assistant manager , Wally Downes, in India so perhaps he will return as well as Nick (y) Hammond..

In fact I'd say mid table is the most likely. We will get some players back. The youngsters will get more experience. The atmosphere behind the scenes will lift.

You sound as convincing as Theresa May.

Re: Players you'd like us to sign thread

Apart from the obvious, i.e. centre-back and left-back I would like to see us sign a midfielder who can drive the team on-I wanted us to try for Arter last Summer but Cardiff got him and the promise of Bradley Dack at Gillingham was there for all to see but he ended up at Blackburn. . Now that he do...

Re: Are we really going down this season

Back to the OP rather than the issue of Clement staying or going which is well covered under the other topic. To me currently this feels like a relegation side as often relegation sides play well up to a point but just don't accumulate enough wins and draws to survive, they are the regular "unl...

I know for some reason I am often in conflict with you Foxy but today I am very much in sympathy with you and your engagement with people who post on here far too often and with so little to say of any significance.

Couldn't wait for Christmas. Ordered yesterday afternoon, delivered 10 minutes ago and no charge for postage-marvellous and thank you strap for bringing it to our attention. Liverpool have Burnley, Bournemouth, Man Utd, Wolves & Newcastle to go to reach the halfway point unbeaten. Man City have Watford, Chelsea, Everton, Leicester & Palace to do the same. Did notice that Liverpool's fixture list had opened up a bit. Just have a feeling Bournemouth will end thei...

Re: FA cup 3rd round draw

The big question is surely "who will the 2 managers be on the day?" Remembering the 1-1 up there with our reserve team it was Bryn v Man Utd. The same in the replay when we were 3-0 down within the first 10 minutes or so but came back brilliantly to get to 3-2 and then didn't Bryn hit the ...

I guess the question has to be asked (sorry if already discussed already but) Was Aluko injured/poorly today, or is his time up with PC?
