Re: The League of 4

It’s a unique madness of football fans that they see a rival who has won 8 of 43 games and 1 of the last 5 and for some reason decides they could win 2 out of 3 all of a sudden I would normally agree with you (and I don't think it will happen) but take a look at 2nd from bottom Fulham who have now ...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City

:D Congratulations to Gomes for finding a way not to lose away from home. Our 5 man (then 6 when McIntyre came on) defence and reliance on a quick break or two or a set piece means that we have taken the 2 points from 2 difficult away games to (probably) keep us up. It has been dire stuff to watch b...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by Scott Murray

A bit worried about the amount of space they are finding down our left flank and we are sitting deep. A point would be very good here. Playing 5 at the back that shouldn't really happen-thanks to Caversham Royal for telling us about streaming. I really wish we played in our normal blue and white ho...

Re: Champions League & Europa League 2018/19

Wait a second, Spurs didn't bottle it on the big occasion. There's still time, that was just a quarter final (where they shipped 4 goals), big occasions are still to come. BTW ,in case people hadn't noticed, Liverpool qualified for the semi-finals again putting 4 goals past a team th...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

3 of those losses against Barca and PSG coupled with a loss away at Arsenal. Wasn't really that impressed with Barca...City or Liverpool should be able to beat them over two legs Barcelona didn't need to even go into 2nd gear last night as 3rd gear saw them cruise through. IMHO they are still clear...

Re: Champions League & Europa League 2018/19

Am not counting chickens for Liverpool tonight as Porto are a good home side but if they score a goal it is most likely they will qualify for yet another semi-final. Don't see City having too much trouble seeing off Spurs-their only weakness is the defence but will Spurs see enough of the ball to te...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

As mentioned under another topic I fear that Man City will have more trouble playing Burnley in the run-in than playing at Old Trafford. So is that now 5 losses from 7 for Ole as quoted on BT Sport? There is even talk today that he will be replaced in the summer-surely not? He once scored in a final...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

Gunts is a decent right back at this level. He is technically good and a better passer of the ball than Yiadom, Being a defender is not just about closing players down. That is definitely his biggest weakness though. He does stay too far off his opponent and lacks Yiadom’s fierce determination. He ...

Re: Swift to Leeds

yep agreed, he has been pretty reliable. It was a hammy last year though, and I do wonder how well it was treated by the medical staff, considering according to Swift it eventually just 'got better', and hasn't reoccured at all this year Don't disagree he is replaceable though Oh he is absolutely r...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

BR0B0T playing a team with a higher league position is generally considered harder

So by the same token playing a lesser side should be easier.
How come Man Utd struggled at home to West Ham on Saturday then?

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Last season is completely irrelevant. You have got very confused in your old age. Maybe football isn't for you anymore? How about bowls? Of course it is relevant-it shows that City, who won the league last season only drew at Burnley but won at Man Utd with a squad not much different from today's s...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

No but I know Burnley away isn't as challenging as Manchester United away. I know that because I sensible. You make so many posts that perhaps you might have learned to look before you leap. The equivalent games last season :- Man Utd 1 City 2 Burnley 1 City 1 So maybe not the "bollocks" ...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

As I stated - he has a bad 12-18 months and the time was right for him to come out of the team. What I completely disagree with is that he has been rubbish for years. He has been a steady performer who has slipped from those standards and was rightly dropped. He could easily have had a strop at tha...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

I have seen some bollocks in my time here but that takes the cake. Thank you for that deeply considered view that has added so much to the topic. Have a crystal ball do you, Mystic Meg? Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

They still have to visit Old Trafford and have Spurs in the league. I can see them drawing one of those. Liverpool will need to win their last 4 to stand any chance in taking the title. Those 4 are: Cardiff (a) Huddersfield (H) Newcastle (a) Wolves (H) The next 2 look shoe-in's, Newcastle are safe ...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

Just 2 more people being wrong. 3-Gomes has left him out for most of the time he has been here so presumably he is also wrong?. BTW, Miazga was very guarded in his BBCRB interview after the game about his future. I think the powers that be have a big job to do in trying to get these loan players to...
