I think it is just an Irish thing-my daughter is marrying one next month but, as far as I know, he is not related to this one.

Re: Weekend Football

Yeah, will hold my judgement 'til United play a top team like Watford! They always beat the little clubs but when they come up against the big boys . Fair enough comment I suppose... 12 Septem 2015 Liverpool H 3–1 Blind 49', Herrera 70' (pen.), Martial 86' 17 January 2016 Liverpool A 1–0 Rooney 78'...

United fcuking battered West Ham Played some decent stuff If you ever wanted an easy fixture for the first game of the season it has to be West Ham without Antonio, Lanzini and Carroll. Wait for the media to cream themselves over 2nd season Mourinho. BTW did I hear correctly in commentary that he i...

Re: BFTG - Fulham

What a load of f*cking sh*te.....I don't care what reputation and pedigree Stam has, but if he doesn't have the ability or knowhow to change a teams tactics when Fulham gets a player sent off after 33 seconds then what chance have we got. This bollox about passing the ball sideways and backwards al...

Re: Rumour - Omar Bogle

I hope I am wrong but it is starting to feel like the days when we were supposedly bidding for, but failing, regarding the likes of O'Neill, Matty Taylor, Lecott and Cahill. Lately we have read about:- Bogle Oliveira Wells Hemed Hughill Russell Aluko Baker Yiadom I am pleased that we got Barrow, und...

Re: Transfer fees out of control

I don't have a problem with transfer fees as generally the money stays in football by just moving around the clubs. It's the wages where the money goes out of football to be spent on bling etc that gets me. The fact that a top end Championship player can earn in excess of £1 million per year regardl...

Re: Rumour - Modou Barrow

Sky Sports suggesting a fee has been agreed. I don't very often get excited about new signings but I like this player and it's good to see the club investing. Presumably GMac's injury problems are some way from being resolved. Harriot also seems to be injured a lot. Popa looks a bit like a young kid...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Lacazette to Arsenal today apparently. €52M rising to a possible €60M being reported. Saw Lacazette play last September in a home game that Lyon lost. Neither my son nor I were that impressed on the day-he didn't work very had, is not as big as I expected and wasn't that quick. I appreciate that it...

Re: RUMOUR: Gunter to Boro

Success and Failure are very much relative terms. The squad that finished very near the bottom of the league for the two previous seasons managed to get to the Play-off final, and only lost on penalties. That, to my mind, is the sign of a successful club. Whether you like the play-offs or not, they...

Re: Liam Kelly transfer rumours

Sure there's going to be a few teams interested. Currently linked with Swansea, but undoubtedly there will be others, so I thought better to have his own thread. Would hate to lose him mind you. I see that Swansea have offered their own little 'un one more year so Kelly might not be on their wanted...

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

But given a home win for Liverpool was a definite.......if it hadn't been a slightly higher calibre of team Liverpool were playing on the last day I would say fair enough. I get that it's also about viewing figures. However, there needs to be a re-jigging of the prize money to negate someone gettin...

Re: Team for Fulham (h)

There was an earlier game where Obita looked to have suffered a serious injury but was back playing again within 3 or 4 days-I wonder if he is susceptible to severe cramp. As for Tuesday's side I feel that McCleary has to play as their left-back isn't great defensively and I think Joey is too slow b...

Re: BFTG Fulham

A much better performance than expected. I thought Williams set the tone right from the off and that everybody (even Gunter) played well. Maybe we did overdo the time-wasting and really it didn't work from a time point of view (3 minutes added in the first and 5 in the second) but it did stop Fulham...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Another embarrassing interview yesterday with Mourinho who thought his team had played well. If the old fat boy and the young big hope hadn't been so greedy they might have got something out of the game against an Arsenal side lacking in confidence but they forgot that it is a team game. Oh well, on...
