Re: George Evans

Not the same physically but similar to Piazon and Pelle Clement in that they look as though they can play but just don't do enough.

Re: Season 2018/2019

Just want to see a few more games where we have more than 0,1 or 2 shots on target (which was too often last season)..

Re: World Cup Punditry

Loved the beef between Ian Wright and Roy Keane the other night. Another tick in the box for ITV. Although Cesc's shirts were the highlight of the BBC coverage for me. This is the nail in the coffin evidence that our poster is Kes. Only he would be concerned about the shirt that somebody wears on T...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Croatia (n) sponsored by two big badges

A decent enough performance last night but ultimately we fell a little shy of the mark in both boxes and came up short when the pressure was on. It's been a good tournament, not only for our progress, but for the way the interest in football and the national team has been reinvigorated. I don't thi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Croatia (n) sponsored by two big badges

Just off to play golf with a group who are mainly of an age where we have seen England win a World Cup. Rather than the positivity on here and all across the media the comments will be more about diving, how much they are paid, they haven't won anything yet,too many studio pundits talking bollocks,t...

Re: England’s World Cup Finals 2018

I get where that tweet is coming from, I'm just surprised TheSpread hasn't posted it on here already. However, the suggestion that Henderson is some sort of shit player is just more football ignorance frankly. "He's no Steven Gerrard is he?" Love seeing that on Twitter when Henderson come...

Re: Club v Country

As one of the few posters on here who seem to have been interested in the England side over the last few years I'd probably say the World Cup to be honest. As we're seeing now, international football can grab a nation like no club competition can and to see young Englishmen performing for their cou...

Re: CONFIMRED - Marc McNulty

Noel hunt style player, someone to break up play and hold the ball up. Tbf it’s why Alfie and long did so well. I think that Nhunt was very underrated. I remember him doing fairly well in the prem up top by himself. well, as well as could be expected lol You're probably a bit biased though being hi...

Re: What are you planning for Saturday?

Aside from the spazmo's damaging cars, wrecking IKEA and various other things, this was totally brilliant. This is how it should be done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9WWybcda3M 'greed Contrived fun >>>> spontaneous fun I'd generally agree with your sarcasm, but what is it about 'lads lads lads...

Re: Club v Country

Exactly, when it comes home on Sunday does that mean nobody who is happy about it will be allowed to have their team win the league? also, if a team has some fans who vote club and some who vote country who gets their way? It's almost like it's a nonsense Love the positivity of "when" and...

Re: Club v Country

Club every day of the week. Opinion may be swayed by having seen the one-time winners and watched what might have been a better side do really well 4 years later. Incidentally going back to those days I think international sides were the tops (apart from Real Madrid who were better than any national...

Re: What are you planning for Saturday?

On the basis that, of course, we're not going to win the bloody thing, a few months ago I booked a holiday to Cyprus, flying out on Sunday morning. We land 3.30pm Cyprus time, which gives us 2.5 hours from landing to get through the airport, cab to the hotel, and find a bar for the game. Should we ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Croatia (n) sponsored by two big badges

It could be that last night's rather tepid display by Croatia had a lot to do with 8 of their players being on yellow cards-none of them were booked so their first team will be available for the semi. I think it will be a very nervous game with two sides now realising that they are almost in a World...

Re: World Cup Punditry

I thought ITV's reserve commentators (John Thingamebob and Ally McCoist) were very good covering the Croatia game.
Why is it that the foreign pundits (Bilic, Klinsmann etc.)are so much better than ours and they are not even speaking their native language?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sweden (n) sponsored by Pippy Longstocking

A strange game where Pickford made 3 match-saving saves and their keeper none and yet we were quite comfortable. One point about the Russia v Croatia game is that Russia have 5 already on yellows and Croatia 8. Whoever wins is likely to have a few out which is great news for us. Regrettably the BBC ...

Re: England’s World Cup Finals 2018

They just interviewed an England fan out in Samara on breakfast news, making a thing about how he'd taken "days" to get out there. Asked him about his journey and he said "I had to get a flight to Frankfurt then another flight out here" Don't get me wrong, fair fooks, but it's h...

Re: RUMOUR - Marc McNulty

thats how dull this window has suddenly become, that people are reduced to making lame jokes about golfers with similar names Saw the golfer Mc Nulty playing in the Monaco Open some years ago-the highlight of that day was meeting Sharon Stone, but that's another story. Ooh really. Did she cross her...
