Re: Unfortunately ANOTHER In or Out poll

Hull are in better form than us. Iirc they've picked up two to three times as many points as us in the last six games. It's perfectly believable they'll be above us inside a week or two. 2 to 3 times our points tally over the last 6 games still isn't particularly impressive. EDIT: Just had a look, ...

Re: Unfortunately ANOTHER In or Out poll

Sorry John but you are being utterly delusional. We are in a relegation battle. We are only 4 points off the bottom 3. We aren't in a relegation battle. Hull City are in a relegation battle. They are absolutely terrible, in awful form and have Nigel Adkins as their manager. Add to that Sunderland, ...

Re: Unfortunately ANOTHER In or Out poll

If we do not beat Burton and Millwall, we are going to be relegated. That is simply not true. Everyone needs to calm right down. We are going through a prolonged bad spell but there is no way we are going down - there are more than three teams worse than us in this league: fact. We were never going...

The team don't look like they believe they can win a game. The time has come.

From Owlstalk

utterly utterly shyte. Worst team I've seen this season - including us.

Not to take away from a decent performance from us - but they were bad. How is Stam still in a job ?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (a) sponsored by total apathy

Is the team really that difficult to work out? Seems like some would criticise Stam whichever players he chose. Looks like a basic 4-4-2, GMac and Beerens on the wings with Bod and Yann upfront. I take it all back if it's not :? Stam doesn’t play 4-4-2 which is why it was hard to work out According...

Re: February

I think Brentford was an improved performance (though, in all honesty, that's not hard), so I'm cautiously optimistic - if we can beat Burton, I'd fancy us to break our home Saturday duck and also beat Millwall. The rest of the month looks pretty tough, would be happy under the current circumstances...

Re: The Chris Gunter appreciation thread

We're very lucky to have him and any player like him. Genuinely appears to care and tries every single game. Fitness levels and lack of injuries also fairly remarkable. Could do with a few more players with CG's attitude. I have great respect for the guy. Completely agree. He's a consistently good ...

Away to Carlisle or Sheffield Wednesday, if we get through.

Re: In or Out?

Still can't believe anyone would want to sack Stam at this point. Yes, yesterday was awful, but the games I've been to (admittedly only at home) this season have been generally more entertaining (Villa, Wolves, Forest, Barnsley, Cardiff come to mind) than last year - we're just not managing to hold ...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

Thought up until about 75 minutes it was one of our best performances all season. The amount of times Barrow, Aluko and Bacuna got around the back of their defence was fantastic to see. Yes, it's disappointing we conceded two fairly preventable goals from sitting far too deep, but overall it was a v...

Re: Parking

it really gets my goat with parking signs and their vagueness. all designed to fleece the customers out of more of their hard earned cash. Absolutely correct. Are you intentionally writing in some sort of poetic verse? I'm just seeing stanzas with mentions of goats and fleeces... I thought the same...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Has Sporting's kit been released for next season yet? I've had a look but can't find it. I usually just want that but in blue instead of green, sadly it never happens. http://lghttp.61065.nexcesscdn.net/8048DE0/macron/media/catalog/product/cache/6/thumbnail/600x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/5/8...

Re: RUMOUR: Gunter to Boro

More happy than I thought I'd be with this - we'd be hard pressed to find many better right backs who'd be willing to come here, and I think the money could be better spent in basically any other position. Echoing the sentiments above, we can't rebuild the entire squad every Summer. This group finis...

Re: The 2017/18 season preview/expectation and build up thread

Obviously depends on how well Stam is backed over the Summer, but at this point in time I'd say top 6 would still be a very good achievement. Would be very surprised if we in the top 2 as teams around us aren't exactly going to get worse - but then I would've said that at the beginning of this seaso...
