Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

Really really disappointing, but I guess it doesn't matter. Need to find a way of stemming goals conceded away if we want to challenge for top 6 next season. Also really lacking in creativity aside from Wing. Goals from a FK and PK, Azeez hasn't offered much for a while now. Wide areas top priority...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

Snowflake Royal Worst thing about that is it means we have to play on that heap of shit next season.

Without meaning to be an ass you implied that you wanted to play at grounds like this

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

A lot of bedwetting on BBCRB, saying we wouldn't even be top half without the points deduction. A lot of "We're Reading, it's our first L1 season in 21 years, we should be near the top of the table" attitudes about. Whereas it should be "We had about 10 senior players and no manager ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

How tinpot are Burton. They run out of beer (considering their name) and don't have enough terracing for the away fans

Re: New owners' top 5 priorities

4) Improve matchday experience Bring back programmes, involve local suppliers, get rid of Compass and their appalling food. Think of initiatives to make matchday more enjoyable and bring fans back. In addition to this point, I'd say basic stadium maintenance should be included in that list. Things ...

Re: Looking forward to the 2024-25 season

I'd hope to see Dai gone and a reasonable new owner who can steady the ship and ensure all bills are paid. I expect we'll lose a few players over the summer, hopefully for fees as the club starts to be run more sustainably and we can invest more money into wages and attracting good players on free a...

Re: Away followings

Cheltenham can definitely stay up after their win at Burton especially if we also go there and win. I quite enjoyed going there at Christmas time. So we had exactly 800 fans at Barnsley. 1700 going Saturday and maybe a few in the home end too. Shame some of the away ends are tinpot with small stands...

Re: Away followings

Looking at the top three, it would not be surprising if all of those are playing in the Championship next year so, depending on who comes down, we could well be even higher placed. I expect we'd put up a better showing than Rotherham. Sheff Wed and Brum would likely do better, but some of the other...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

Both were suspended for 12 months I believe so will have them hanging over the club until 2025. If either are triggered next season we've got bigger problems to worry about than that. So if there's a pitch invasion after promotion we could potentially have promotion rescinded, depending on points. ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

At least we're mathematically safe now. Let's end the season with another 4 points at least and finish comfortably above relegation in case the EFL turn on us again. Then it's about getting the takeover completed and we can budget for next season properly.

Re: Away followings

No confirmation on Bristol Rovers numbers but with 700 fans expected at Barnsley and 1700 at Burton, it's fair to assume we'll have averaged 1200 fans an away game. That's must be at least 30% more than last season which is a great effort. May have some new grounds in there and more local trips but ...

Around 550 sold now. Block NS3 has now opened, with NS2 being almost sold out (note the bottom section of the stand appears to be unavailable for purchase at this stage). Now estimating 623 sold.
