Re: Who do you want to miss out on the play offs?

Fulham absolutely for me. They're the best footballing side and are more likely to beat us over 2 legs

Spoke to ticket office earlier and about 700 left.

So based on that, about 1000 sold already then. Doesn't look like sales will get much further than Friday at best.

Bloody hell screw this!

Re: Our second goal vs Rotherham

I agree and think those who booed need to realise that we aren't a team that lumps it forward. If we did then we wouldn't be 3rd in the bloody league. Many of our goals come from being patient, forcing a few of their players out of position and then putting in good balls down the wings or quick flow...

Re: Rival Watch

I don't have massive respect but fair play to Brighton. Definitely deserve a shot in the premier league and consistently been solid and decent this season. Let's hope we can win these playoffs and join them!

Re: Rival Watch

I think one more point realistically seals a playoff spot for us.

Has anyone ever amassed 80 points and finished 7th? Considering Stoke went up with 79 points in 2007/08 in 2nd place that'd be madness if we missed out on our points tally

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by not counting chickens

If we win today and Fulham lose then only one more point will confirm our playoff place. Meanwhile if they draw and we win then we need to better their result next Saturday to confirm our spot a few days early. I expect us to wrap up a place on Saturday

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by not counting chickens

To be fair to them they've stayed in games recently and not had too many thrashings. They ran Huddersfield and Fulham close recently Still I think we'll win fairly comfortably. Good management by Stam to rest a few yesterday and we've players who can come in and freshen things up They've conceded 5...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by not counting chickens

We won 1-0 last season My bad. i was looking at the away fixture. lost 2-1 Pretty sure the away fixture was 1-1 with the Blackman screamer, season before was the 2-1 which kept them up. Damn you for making me remember how bad that game was. I was at the 2-1 defeat too. That was funny

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

The funny thing is that Villa haven't learned from Derby, Fulham or Sheffield Wednesday that spending silly money on players doesn't guarantee promotion. Even Wolves who spent £12M on Costa are in the bottom half of the table. We've spent maybe £4m in fees on 11 new signings and look where we are. T...

Re: Rival Watch

I think if we can dig out a win tomorrow then that will be job done pretty much and a top 6 place secured. Leeds are pretty much there with their games. I expect a couple more goals from Wood and wins for them from Wolves and Norwich at home and Burton and Wigan away. I think they might get 3 wins a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by not counting chickens

I expect it'll be a bit of a breeze but Rotherham will be stubborn and try make it difficult. Even still I think we should approach them the same as our other home games. If we score early then it'll be a thumping win but if they frustrate us then we should stay behind the team. We never annihilate ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (a) sponsored by prayer mats everywhere

So why the f**ck didn`t we (and villa) ask for Mondays games to be moved to Tuesday? Apparently we did and it was refused. Look they're professional footballers so they should be capable of playing twice in 48 hours Funny enough, I have a really good feeling about this game despite Villa being in e...

Re: Rival Watch

Chin up lads. 4 points from these 2 and another solitary win from the final 3 will get us in. I still think we will finish in the top 6. We are a better side than Sheffield Wednesday and us winning home and away against them proves it. Tomorrow won't be easy but let's get an atmosphere going with ou...

Re: Back from the game - Norwich

This is why I kinda want to finish 5th or 6th. Rather than get trounced away in the first leg, get a win at home first time around then just shove 11 men behind the ball in the away leg. My thoughts exactly. I'd rather finish 5th and try and get a 1-2 goal headstart against Leeds or Huddersfi...

Away from home

I'm a bit too drunk to comment on this right now.. but why are we so vulnerable?

We surely must have conceded as many away as Forest, Rotherham and Bristol City
