Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Glen Little just confirmed on the radio that Mark Bircham from sports.com is interested in buying the club..he spoke to him Saturday at the game. Also said the Bearwood issue put a spanner in the works. Talking about deal details could also put a spanner in the works Glenn! Was the presence or abse...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Do Wycombe even understand the cost of running this facility? It is way above what they need and has been draining money out of our club. The cost compared to their current training ground are going to be at least 10 times higher which I don't believe will be sustainable for them. It is absolutely c...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

So now it is has been shown that the planning consent granted was personal to RFC for the purposes outlined in the planning application. Does that mean WWFC would have to make an application for a variation to that consent before they could use it? That could seriously delay any sale and the counci...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Like the rest of us, presumably some kind of a loan or mortgage. For them to have get that level of funding this deal would have to have been in the making for many many weeks. And as a loss making business, Wycombe Wanderers could not have secured that funding. More likely to be their owner under ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Just taken a look at Wycombe's last accounts and to be honest this does not make sense if the purchase is over £20m as rumoured. They only file accounts for a "small business", they have tangible fixed assets of £1.1m, £1.3 of long term creditors, and total equity of minus £1.5m. Now I be...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

It would mean he could sell the real estate assets without having to fund the club in any way. Who's going to buy a studium and training ground with no sports club to pay rent to use it? And please don't bring up Bearwood being sold for housing redevelopment. It's part of a historical park so housi...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

And I don't really think liquidation makes sense either, it's definitely against Dai's financial interest. It would mean he could sell the real estate assets without having to fund the club in any way. Who's going to buy a studium and training ground with no sports club to pay rent to use it? And p...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Part of the problem here is that you have two different organisations (EFL and EPL) with different rules, and even within the EFL you have different rules for different divisions. What they need is a unified approach to profit and sustainability that can be applied across the divisions. For example,...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

WestYorksRoyal No prospective buyer would give the loan without assurances that a deal will happen, as they know the club can't afford to repay it.

But that is the point of it being secured, say against the Academy facility or Bearwood. If they don't repay you get your money back that way.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fleetwood Town (a)

Again, and whilst I agree at times his subs have been questionable, what else should he have done last night? Without knowing Monlouis would look like a scared rabbit? Fair enough, I don't really know, but then I'm not a professional manager paid to make these decisions so him being as useless as I...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fleetwood Town (a)

Hope Knibbs is fit for Saturday. Required physio treatment after the final whistle and limped off the pitch. As for the match, disappointed conceding an offside goal that late, but we only have ourselves to blame. Numerous chances to clear the ball and failed to do so, strange substitutions and leav...

ps, there's also the hotel, not sure where that fits. That's a question for the Thai's. Nothing to do with Dai. Thanks. So if someone bought whole site, club, stadium, car park, plus the training ground another site, and looked at development opportunities, etc there would be the issue of the hotel...

Re: Selles In

I was in the Selles out court, results were bad and he was insistent in playing his way despite it blatantly not working, and by his own admission the only way he knew. However, he did make changes, he has learnt from his mistakes and because of that I have altered my view about him, and I don't min...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

As I've posted before, when Rick Parry was before the Commons committee, he said the EFL's preference was to move to a squad-cost ratio (I think he said the costs of the squad should be pegged at a maximum of 70% of turnover), instead of the current system, so that the EFL could intervene pretty mu...
