Re: Weekend Football

Still don't get the continuous blaming the Glazers and others when they have carried on spending millions and millions on players including £90 million or so on Anthony and £60 million on the old fella Casemeiro etc. Bournemouth were significantly better than Man Utd yesterday and I don't think I h...

Arteta got that so wrong today.

Good job for Arsenal Bailey isn’t playing - he would have given Zinchenko nightmares.

Re: Weekend Football

Listened to Ben Foster yesterday explain that the reason some goalkeepers are now using vaseline on their gloves is because the Premier League footballs used are always brand new for each match and when they are new they have a weird film covering on them, and that combined with the wetness of a wa...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (h)

rabidbee Having seen the very slow replay that the club posted today, I think it was smashed straight into the Lincoln player’s face.

Even if it hit his arm, it was tucked in. Not an obvious pen at all. Brilliant piece of defending I’d suggest.

Re: Weekend Football

Do think Liverpool are missing that cool, calm head in attack. It’s where Firmino (at his best) was so important for them as he complemented Salah and Mane so well Nunez, Diaz and Salah is clearly a very talented front three but it’s slightly too erratic and there have been too many occasions this ...

Re: Weekend Football

Arsenal looking like a very efficient machine right now. Still time to fall apart on the run in of course, but Arteta has done a fantastic job there. Havertz looking like the player people gave up thinking he could become, Gabriel not losing the plot every time something goes against him, and defend...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

If we can keep most of the squad next season (debatable of course) then it’s reasonable to hope the young players will improve with the experience behind them, as will the manager. That, and the absence of the stresses this season has treated them all to, gives justifiable cause for optimism that we...

Re: Weekend Football

Guardiola doing his 'I am so intense' on-pitch animated thing for the cameras at full time Odd that he chose Grealish to have a go at, when I thought he was pretty good when he came on. Maybe he figures Grealish can take it whereas it might break Doku, and KDB would just tell him to fcuk off. Altho...

Re: Weekend Football

genome That was painful.

Always seemed to be the case that the biggest games stank the place out but in recent years they have generally delivered epic contests.

Not so today. :|

Another result that just papers over the cracks.

MU have been completely outplayed by Brentford tonight.

If these 3 points help ETH keep his job, then that’s just great I suppose.

(Oh, back to 1 point!) :D

Re: England - the future....

it's not GS' fault England got an easier route (we all want an easier route in finals) but it is his fault that they still managed to **** it up. I'm not one of his critics. He's done a bang up job. Yes England lost to the first decent team that played that tournament, but he's followed it up with ...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

So if the rumours are correct and the prospective new owners are buying us as an Arbitrage play - with funds from various exotic industries (crypto/longevity biotech) - the protests continue or they stop? Do we want sugar daddies who gamble on making money (for themselves) in the prem or not? I was...
