Re: How are you getting to Wembley?
Reading FC should get in touch with Wealdstone FC. Wealdstone have a decent sized car park and bar just a short walk from Ruislip tube station which is just a 20 minute ride to Wembley Stadium. The Stones have welcomed Coventry City, Manchester City, Villa among others ...

Re: The Non - League thread

There are also suggestions that even Hampton & Richmond may not have the the required 500 covered seats due to previous (or present) ground graders turning a blind eye to short comings. Adding fuel to the fire they were allowed to continue to proceed to the final of the Middlesex Senior Cup (aft...

Re: The Non - League thread

The Crown do not own the masts. Windsor FC acquired those on acquiring the assets from liquidator of old club. Obviously I have never seen any agreement but I'd have thought the income from the masts clearly belongs to the entity that owns them, not the landlords. Yes a share of income may be appli...

I agree with OW that I also thought on the day that the referee failed to add on time for the crowd retaining the ball.

Re: BFTG Derby

I watched the match from hospitality, courtesy of my neice, and the new shout was commented on a lot there. Most thought we were unlucky to not get a draw or perhaps even a victory. I thought perhaps Kelly might have tried a direct strike from one of a number of freekicks but perhaps he was a bit fa...

Well said. Would not surprise me if 1871 was the ill informed source for the article as he/she always seems to be looking for something negative to say.

More likely he works for the catering contractors rather than the football club. Probably just trying to make himself seem more important. Silly to give credence to utter supposition.

For the benefit of BR he will have to forego the palatial splendour of Enfield Town as the match on Tuesday has been postponed.

Re: The Non - League thread

If based in Harrow, as BR suggested earlier, skip the tube, and use the 183 bus for the Hendon game. If you pick Rayners Lane do not bother with the H10 bus as it is an easy walk from the tube station.

. Now we're a bit clearer on the fixtures for next week with regards cup replays and the like, can anyone provide recommendations for matches to get to next week?
Still reckon your best bet is Hendon vs Kingstonian on the Tuesday. An alternative is Uxbridge vs Egham town in The Evo-Stick Lea...

Re: THE BETTING THREAD

. Do our NLS loanees come back and play for the Under 23s as well? Or has his loan already ended? I guess the teams in NLS are part timers and don't train very often. Maybe Smith trains with us and then plays for Bishop Stortford on the Saturday. If we have an U23 game he plays in that as well. Is ...
I'm going to be working a week of nights in the Harrow area from Monday 10th to Friday 14th October and was looking to try and fill an evening or two with some football if possible. As it's international week the fixtures are a bit more limited, but I've done a little b...

Re: Why are "we" booing players keeping the ball?

Anyone wanting to see where Stam is taking us should have gone to the U23 game last night. The first half was really very good using the same approach as the first team ,just with a bit more pace and urgency. We played the ball quicker out of defence and Osho in particular kept putting good passes ...

If I recall correctly there was housing & accommodation included in the original planning application. Not that that would stop the conspiracy theorists like 1871 from their doom mongering.

Re: Evening kick-off time

Given that RFC is some distance from the station they rely on over two dozen special bus services from Reading Transport & Stagecoach, as well as the regular Park & Ride and the F1 shuttle buses, plus other specials from various clubs & pubs. I would suggest that this is a much higher fi...
