Re: 8.00 Evening kick offs

Still would not work as it is the volume of other traffic that is the problem not the numbers who turn up.

Re: 8.00 Evening kick offs

It is mainly done for traffic reasons. Often grid locked even for 8 pm starts. Earlier would be far worse. Buses/drivers are also not available earlier due to being on on local rush hour routes rather than various football specials. Those people who leave early are the same people who do so on Satur...

Re: Summer Ins and Outs

Not what RFC have said though. Suspect it may be wishful thinking by Danny Cowley who has always been a bit of a bullshitter. Currently only on loan until January which would be similar to what happened to Dickie last season.

A few trialists in there? Not heard of obi or regis before

Chris Regis certainly might be a trialist. Apparently an England U17 International in 2012 (ex Colchester).
Also Ogo Obi - a Nigerian (ex Watford).

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Bath 0 Reading 1 (Regis) Apparently only 150 odd attendance. Interesting fact from their co-commentator (when he eventually switched his mike on after online prompting from me) is that apparently over the years over 40 Reading Academy players have now turned out for Bath so obviously some close lin...

Under 23's vs Bath City

Apparently there is online commentary on Bath City internet radio tonight. A squad of 22 have been sent despite so many being in Holland. No doubt not much coverage from RFC as I suspect the media people are also abroad.

Re: The Non - League thread

Wow impressive and just over 2 games a week. Unsure if its a new ground although it does look One, i go past cb Hounslow on the way to work. It is an utterly stupid location down 1 way streets in the middle of an industrial estate. Looks not half bad little pitch that. I'm thinking of going to few l...

Re: How are you getting to Wembley?

[quote="Top Flight"]Reading FC should get in touch with Wealdstone FC. Wealdstone have a decent sized car park and bar just a short walk from Ruislip tube station which is just a 20 minute ride to Wembley Stadium. The Stones have welcomed Coventry City, Manchester City, Villa among others ...

There are also suggestions that even Hampton & Richmond may not have the the required 500 covered seats due to previous (or present) ground graders turning a blind eye to short comings. Adding fuel to the fire they were allowed to continue to proceed to the final of the Middlesex Senior Cup (aft...

Re: The Non - League thread

The Crown do not own the masts. Windsor FC acquired those on acquiring the assets from liquidator of old club. Obviously I have never seen any agreement but I'd have thought the income from the masts clearly belongs to the entity that owns them, not the landlords. Yes a share of income may be appli...

I agree with OW that I also thought on the day that the referee failed to add on time for the crowd retaining the ball.
