Re: Back from listening to the game v preston on the radio

This is starting to remind me of Tommy Burns infamous January transfer window when he brought in 6? Scottish players who were mostly dire except for Grant Brebner but played them regardless. For all Japp Stam's success this season, he appears to have fallen down the same rabbit hole. Mick Gooding sa...

Re: Season ticket renewals 17/

In but only the 4th family member to sign up  Have to concur with those pointing out that such offers are the norm when appropriate. It should be obvious to those in possession of modest financial expertise that the close season is not a good time for cashflow and most clubs try to smooth thi...

Re: BFTG Newcastle (H)

Very harsh. We were okay, nowhere near utter dross. Improved much more than "a bit" in the second and domin8ed - actually a lot to do with Williams and Obita more than G-Mac I thought, who only really threatened in the last 10 minutes. Kelly had a right shocker, though. I'm with jd82 here...

Re: Rival Watch

Wigan were dire and didn't look like they'd score if they played all weekend.

Having said that, Wednesday were a shadow of the side that won at Newcastle

Re: Best team selection and formation now ?

with not remembering anything about Popa I agree that he's still an unknown for most fans and that, therefore, no one has put him in their team. However, those U Tube compilations make him look like Glen Little on steroids and if this proves to be reality, while he still has a pulse, he' ll be eith...

Re: Best team selection and formation now ?

I think it's obvious what our strongest team is now in light of recent acquisitions. It is the following: GK: Al Habsi RB: Gunter (Best RB in the league, no dispute) LB: Obita CB: Moore CB: McShane CDM: Evans CM: Williams CM: Swift CM: Kelly CF: Grabban CF: Kermorgant No GMac? :? +1 Leaving GMac ou...

Funnily enough I though everything was quite measured until I read this.

Why the fcuk shouldn't Reading fans (most of whom would have taken top 10 in August) be excited about the fact that top 2 is suddenly not out of sight :|

Just brilliant that Newcastle dropped home points tonight. Suddenly our defeat to QPR doesn't seem quite so bad :D

As long as we can see off the tractor boys this weekend a Brighton slip could make things very interesting.

Re: Deja Vu?

In the 2011/12 season at this stage we were quite a few points behind West Ham and Southampton and made a few signings and went on a great run. Does anyone feel confident we could do something similar? Nope! Who knows but why should we be less confident than we were back then? We certainly have wha...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

Factor in all the wages and agent fees for the new players from this window plus the new contracts and this is a huge outlay for a heavily indebted Championship club looking down the barrel at no parachute payments next season. Whoever sanctioned this knows a lot more than they've told us. Not that ...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

Is there a club that loves being "Undisclosed" more than us :? No insider knowledge from me but I'm finding it increasingly difficult not to smell a rat here. The scousers insist we stumped up £3m+ for a centre half who has barely kicked a ball in years. We've had a £2m bid for a striker r...
