Re: BFTG Sunderland

To state the blindingly obvious, it's all about results at this time of the season and good results are usually easier to come by against teams with nothing left to play for. Sunderland were in the last chance saloon; Only a win would have given them the slightest chance of survival and that's how t...

Re: BFTG - Preston -Home

It was crying out for a Evans - Swift sub at 60mins, I was surprised to see Martin swapped for Bod instead. Bod isn't match fit. Expect to see Swift dropped for Tuesday. One game a week out of him. Clement appears to be managing his available resources carefully. Absolutely, what does Evans have to...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by the curse of Saturday

As some of the observations above suggest, a fan base full to overflowing with ignorant and resentful northern scumbags while the club itself is not much better. I remember one year the salvation army parked themselves in front of us and struck up while the match was in progress. Oddly enough, this...

Re: CONFIMRED Paul Clement appointed as new Royals boss

Didn't we do that with Stam? Did we? If you are saying Stam had never been sacked that doesn’t mean we refused to consider anyone who had been which was surely the point myself and others were making. Only on Hobnob :| My point, as I'm sure you are fully aware, is that we selected a manager who had...

Re: CONFIMRED Paul Clement appointed as new Royals boss

Did they mention he has had two managers jobs and got sacked in both?? So we should have excluded anyone who has been previously sacked in our selection process  Didn't we do that with Stam? Re: CONFIMRED Paul Clement appointed as new Royals boss

Reading Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Clement as first team manager at Madejski Stadium. The Wandsworth-born boss arrives in Reading with a sparkling CV, telling the impressive story of a career which has seen him lift the Premier League, the FA Cup (twice) and the...

Re: CONFIMRED - Paul Clement appointed as new Royals boss

Who knows how this will pan out but surely a good appointment given the timing and having to find some with the right credentials. Please don't ask Brendan Rodgers for any advice as the previous former Assistant Chelsea manager's time here did not end well :| It's all about 8 games for now and perha...

Re: Liam Kelly

We have some very good players in our squad. They shouldn't be written off from reaching the top just because they look crap under Stam.

Even should we stay up, if Kelly, Moore and Swift are still here next season, a lot of scouts will have failed to do their jobs properly.

Re: Relegation

I think the QPR game is massive. It would be massive if we stood a snowball in hell's chance of winning. With every passing week, we look less likely to beat ANYONE and that includes Sunderland which (to state the blindingly obvious!) is why we haven't beaten ANYONE in 18 games. While I accept all ...

Re: Relegation

I've said for months that I couldn't see where our next win was coming from but a team like Norwich, with little to play for, was just the sort of opposition who might have given us a fighting chance. And, if it was really the case that there are 3 worse teams in this division, things might have bee...

Re: FAO Season Ticket Holders - Renew or not?

And Woking is a similar distance from me these days. Having supported from a distance for many years, when I finally gave up playing, I followed the "support your local team" principle from the early 90's, which culminated in a season ticket from 2000. A few years later, I was going home a...

Re: Boycott

The best chance of making our views count is with season ticket renewals. It's quite clear those in charge don't give a fcuk about our opinions and if they had any intention of sacking Stam they'd have done it months ago. I've decided now that I'll renew whatever division we are in if Stam has gone ...

Re: What is our best team now?

Martin's done nothing here and is on loan. Elphick has barely played and is on loan. . Coming from someone who just put Watson in his team. Snowflake is obsessed by Watson and considering he didn't watch us play last season, I very much doubt he has seen much of him. Farcical Surely not as farcical...

Re: BFTG Sheffield Utd

I wonder if there is a bit of mischief going on with the attendance figure. I suspect that normally all ticket sales are counted as attendance (including season tickets). I just wonder if last night it was decided that they would just count the number of people who actually attended the game as the...

Re: BFTG Sheffield Utd

If we stay up with Stam, how many season tickets will we sell next season. Regardless of where we finish he has to go ! I would say this. If he takes us down and STILL doesn’t get sacked, the fan base should refuse to renew season tickets until he’s gone. Most clubs would have sacked this manager m...
