7/10 with the aid of a few lucky guesses but can’t believe I fell for the Ian Harte not being English one! Schoolboy moment! I

Absolutely - watched him a few times when he was at Exeter and he looked more than capable - not at all surprised he has done well there.

Also like the look of the lad Storey who has just moved to Preston today.

Re: CONFIMRED - John O’shea signs for Reading

So, we have signed 3 solid proven pro's, 2 of them captain's. All 3 are/have been. Elphick would make 4 if he signs. Looks more and more like a Coppell squad. Though now there's a good crop of youngsters to nuture. The off the field influence is equally important. Clement does seem to be going to b...

Re: RUMOUR- John O’shea set to sign for Reading

Regardless of why, this is about as inspiring as gluten free ryvita. The thought of him actually lining up for us is too hard to bare. Agree - At least when Weiser signed there was that 'he's from Liechtenstein' I wonder how good he is / could be mystery? If O'Shea signs, right now cannot actually ...

Re: RUMOUR- John O’shea set to sign for Reading

Found myself thinking of us starting with a central defensive pairing of McShane and O'Shea... did a little shudder... Agree with the comment about any aspiring promotion team would not have him in their squad... What happened to Reading signing aspiring young hungry players like Kitson, Doyle, Long...

Re: CONFIMRED - Andy Yiadom

Sounds like a sensible signing given our ambitions at the moment. He'll probably move between LB and RB cover for most of next season before fully replacing Gunter the one after. Next on the target list is someone in midfield who can make things happen and a decent striker. He's 26 and signed a 4 y...

Re: Strikers.

For me Kermit could be interesting. Written off by many this year and can see why. But he had no pre-season and is 35. But he seems the type that give him a good summer off and get him fit for the season, his natural hunger for the game could surprise a few next season. Not to be a pendant, but he ...

Re: Strikers.

One worry I have for next season in terms of strikers is Bod. Likely to go to the World Cup. So will get next to no pre-season and was not great for Wolves the season after the euro's, so how will he be next season? Look at Swift this season. Was great for us last year, looked sharp and skilful. We ...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

Do they change the size of the goal...if not then they defo should. The quality of goalkeeping is the real let down in women's football (which is fairly low quality anyway) Speaks an ignorant *rse who probably hasn't watched any WSL games. I suspect some of those GKs have also got pretty strong pun...

Re: Low away attendances

Apparently the record low for a LEAGUE game at Elm Park was 1934 v Bradford in 1991 then 1943 v Preston in 1982 but I always thought the Preston game was the record with 1732 fans Anyone able to confirm? In the book "Biscuits and Royals" by David Downs it states lowest attendance at Elm p...

Re: Summer Ins and Outs

I must admit I tend to sit on the underwhelmed at losing Danny Williams side of the fence... No doubt he was very good at the end of the season... But where was he in the seasons before? Also for a central midfield player who drives forward his goal scoring record is not great. His control and pass ...

Re: Back from the game - Palace

The whole Pardew thing is getting really boring now. It's not like he's done a McGhee and ramped up the antagonism prior to any games, he's always been respectful on his return and I think he knows he warrants some abuse and has taken it in good humour. I reckon he genuinely has a lot of respect an...

Never rated him at Villa.... Never understood how he ever got an Englanid cap... And every time I see his name I think of Kebe tearing him apart in the first half at the Madjeski in that cup quarter final where he was only saved because villa changed their tactics and stopped us getting the ball to ...

Re: Huddersfield (A) FAC - Match Thread

Samuel on for Guthrie Doubt there's many players who's managed 2 years between appearances. Cox, Little and Kitson spring to mind off the top of my head having left the club. Can't think of any who did so in one stint. What a shame you didn't start that last sentence as Kitson(s), Little, Cox.......
