Re: Paul Clement to Napoli?

Well, he got us the 8 points needed for survival. I don't think he's necessarily that good a manager and he has to know if he walks out on Reading after a few months to suck up with Ancellotti then no one would ever hire him again.

Re: Summer Transfers

I'd like to sign me, I could do with earning a bit more money, and there doesn't seem to be much chance of doing any worse than the current lot. The only issue is I'd probably fail the medical, what with doing my ankle in in India and having a dodgy muscle in my right leg. But I'm sure that won't ma...

Re: Don Goodman

I mean what a total bellend, Don Goodman weighs in to the 'best team ever in the Championship' debate, but clearly getting the most points (Reading's 106) is not enough.. "Wolves have been probably the best team I've ever seen in the championship, I'll go as far as to say that. "T...

Re: Relegation Watch

4 teams could take the one final spot to go down. Barnsley play 14th, 17th, 10th, 7th Birmingham play 9th, 15th, 3rd Bolton play 1st, 23rd, 17th Reading play 16th, 12th, 2nd Different ways to look at it. Those games against teams with something to fight for could be the hardest. That might be Cardif...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

God yeah, hope they get stuffed in the Semis. Actually no, I hope they get humiliated in the final. Fulham will still be targetting 2nd. Cardiff have Wolves, Villa and Derby still to play. Not beyond the realms of possibility that they could lose all 3. Fulham have to play Weds, Us, Sunderland and ...

Re: POLL: Paul Clement in... are we still going down?

What has the guy done as a manager to justify getting a job anywhere? Two stints. One at Derby. He was 5th, which was an improvement on McClaren's 8th the previous season. But he was fired for supposedly making no progress and playing not good football. He also lost after one win in seven games. The...

I like to imagine how transfers happen in this day and age: FFC 'so, we are looking for £2M in a basic fee structured across the contract and we want a further £1M if you go up to the PL in that time. Stam 'soundsh good, I think my man Brian here can work thoshe numbersh out' FFC - obviously lets n...

So, apparently we get to play Charlton, who have changed their name this season from Charlton Athletic to Charlton the Village Bike, and everyone gets a turn with this one.

Re: Huddersfield fan here

'Coppell and his kick and rushers'??? Direct football is defintely better to watch than what we have now. Arguably as effective, but definitely more action. There was nothing kick and rush about Coppell's side. I was, of course, being rather sarcastic about it all, in order to make the poin...

Re: Huddersfield fan here

I find myself curiously indifferent to how Huddersfield will do next season. I'd perhaps rather they didn't establish themselves like Swansea though. Not through any kind of bitterness, but it's just that every time I see Swansea in the premier league, I feel like Jim Bowen is putting an arm around...

Re: Rumour - Norwood to Brighton

Choose how you want to play and buy the players who play like that, ie, like Swansea did. We seem to buy players, bring in any old manager and then they have to perform. You have longer ball football under McDermott, Norwood isn't going to play well, put him in a Swansea type team and he might be am...

3-3, just like first home game of the season in 1991/92 season (I think, or maybe the season before).

Unless of course Cardiff just went for a run around to get match fit and didn't care too much about the result.

Re: Gunter / HRK / Wales

Beat Belgium in extra time, this is then Belgium of today, they weren't as good back then. Then played Cameroon, again, won in extra time. 4 out of 5 games and they were draws after 90 minutes. Inspired yet? Drew their 5th out of 6 with Germany and couldn't score in extra time and lost on penalties...
