Re: BFTG Sheffield

Didn’t take long for Marshall to lose the dressing room. Utterly witless display, odd selections, normal service in fact. I think it's fair to say that Pep Guardiola would have a job to lift this side. Their confidence is shot to pieces. Scott Marshall was on a hiding to nothing. If the club can af...

Re: Players you'd like us to sign thread

Tbh I am still puzzled as to why Sal Bibbo (where is he now?) was replaced by Dave Beasant. Did he kick Steve Clarke's cat? :?

Re: New Manager

The Royal Forester Bryn. Gunnasson. He seems to doing quite well in Iceland. He has also said that his dream job would be to manage Reading. He may well be able to bring back the fans to the Mad Stad.

Too soon, perhaps?

Re: New Manager

No. I've had my fill of young, inexperienced up and coming managers in Clarke, Stam and Clement. I'm with you on this one Ian. Add Rodgers to that list as well. On the flip side McGhee, Jim and Mick, and Brian were all inexperienced and they made it work but that was a completely different Reading ...

Re: Clement sacked!

Gunny Fishcake Jesus Christ couldn't turn this current crock of shite into a winning team . Shame players can't be sacked

I know that it could cost a mint in compensation but could their contracts be paid-up - or does this only happen in extreme circumstances?

Re: Clement

Not sure I get the Vision love-in today, all Vision has done is offered a different opinion but it's turned out to be wrong. Aluko has some form clause in his contract where he needs as much game time as possible. Gourlay's departure doesn't change what is written into a contract. It's not difficul...

Re: Clement

As usual Vision, a sensible post One thing on the Aluko example though. Yes, he did get his first start, but that was with Barrow, Bod and Baldock all out. Loader also yet to play a game. And presuming he wasn’t injured on sat, that’s the first time he has been out of the squad since he arrived. I ...

Re: Ex Players

Sorry to learn that Wally Hinshelwood has died. Those of us of a certain age ( and still supporting!) will remember him steaming through the mud on the wing at E.P.. Think he scored some 30 goals in those days of honest endeavour in the early 50's. Did I imagine it or did Wally Hinshelwood have a s...

Re: Gourlay gone

I’ve got great memories of McDermott’s first spell but it so rarely works so well second time around as was proven although he was treated pretty shoddily. Just look at Kitson, Shorey and Little. The time has passed and we have to move on. As for Coppell I doubt whether he still has the hunger and ...

It’s 2018 Brenderz Nick Hammond I would have back tomorrow Steve Coppell has effectively retired from any active part in football (too much hassle?) What derogatory remarks? Sorry, I can't remember his exact words but he said something to the effect that England were a weak team. The only comments I can see when googling his name is him saying the English media should be more humble and that Croatia felt disrespected by them at the World Cup, w...
