Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Congratulations to the Under 18's for winning at Charlton this evening 4-3 after extra time. Apparently they came back from 2 down and won despite both teams ending up with 9 players a side. Sounds like quite a game. Yep, apparently scored with the last kick of the game to take it to extra time as ...

Re: VAR

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/42717093 So Leicester's Ineacho scores the first goal in English football awarded by VAR, after his effort was initially ruled offside. The 'delay' was 67 seconds from when the ball hit the net, which seems nothing given time is lost to celebrations anyway. For me...

Re: Sheffield Wednesday (A) FA CUP 4th Round

Seems incredible that united are playing Preston. 60 miles away and Wednesday are playing us 160 miles away, so lets reschedule our game for a Friday night. you couldn't make it up. Edit that Reading Sheffield 168 miles. Preston Sheffield 74 miles. Still ridiculous. google is my friend. Still not s...

Keep an eye out or Lincoln's results, having gone to uni there, and I am delighted to see they are in the hunt for back-to-back promotions.

I can't see it selling out if we comfortably in mid/lower-mid table.

It might sell better than usual games, but I doubt you would be hard pressed for a ticket.

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

Recurring theme with us , talented players coming here and not providing the goods. if he played in the 2006 team he would have got 30 goals . Our fans gave him a hard time but you don't turn into a bad player over night. I imagine that happens to loads of clubs, not just us. How many great RFC pla...

Re: BFTG ‘Ull (A)

Wolves were excellent, no doubts about that. Anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves They were the best team we have played all season but I still wasn't overly impressed with them, especially their defense. We matched them blow for blow for the majority of that game and were unlucky to com...

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

The situation up front is almost comparable to 11/12, we lacked a powerful experienced striker that knew where the back of the net was. Jason Roberts came in and we were a completely different team- everyone seemed to take notice after we played Leicester off the park to beat them 3-1, whilst that ...

Re: Stevenage (h)

Interestingly the Sheffield United v Preston 4th round match is on Sat 27th. So if Wednesday beat Carlisle, the winner of our tie won’t play on the Saturday........ Reason why Man Utd played their FA Cup tie on the Friday night, I believe. If both teams were to get through, you would hope they see ...

Re: The generic transfer thread

But Everton accepted the £15m bid, no? They did, rather than lose him for nothing. It seems like only the mayor who's whinging. Bill Kenwright apparently has no complaints as far as I can see. It is almost like BK knows shady shit happens with football transfers all the time. It is just a die hard ...

If reports are correct and Arsenal are set to get money + Henrikh Mkhitaryan, that should be the deal they accept.

Lowest since we played in the LDV (01/02) is about 5,500. Its going to be somewhere close to that.

5,936 for the league cup tie v Gillingham this season.

Re: Please get our transfer business completed in swift fashion!!!

I don't think we have had a busy deadline day in a few windows. We usually get all of our business done before. :| Remember how excited everyone was when we signed Vydra, Piazon, and John on deadline day? Seems a long time ago... That was probably the last deadline day something meaningful happened...

Re: Rumour - Reise Allassani

Smashed our transfer record for the second time in 7 months. As far back as I can remember (we're talking early 80's), our track record with spending big is pretty ropey. I'm thinking: Hurlock Moran Maskell Caskey Asaba Convey Lita Halford Fae Marriappa Ilori Aluko. Caskey is the only one not to ha...
