Re: Weekend Football

I read that the angle of the stands is close to the legal safe limit of 35 degrees; coupled with the stands being just 4 metres from the pitch, the acoustics should be terrific. I seem to remember reading something similar as well. No front row seat is more than 8m away from the pitch, which I thin...

Re: Rival Watch

Meite and Baldock have scored 8 and 5 as well. Not as many assists but your original point was about goals :|

Only Wells has got assists out of the two, with 6, Meite and Baldock have one each so only 4 more assists, hardly top stuff.

Re: Rival Watch

Jackson Corner It's like QPR they were given a transfer ban then straight away bought in Wells and Hamed two big money loan signings for the whole season. There goals have kept them clear of the relegation zone.

Are you sure? Wells has scored 8 goals and Hamed 5, no better than our strikers.

Re: PoTS

I prefer Miazga to Martinez... Martinez has pulled off some great saves , but also cost us more than one clear goal. I can't recall any clear cut errors from Miazga that resulted in a goal. Because Martinez hasn't saved any certain goals....... Reading comprehension not your thing? I think it was m...

John Smith
Winston Biscuit https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tees-47666849

Adam Johnson released from prison

Where does he go from here? Is there any way whatsoever he could be involved in football again?

Hopefully back to his massive house, to live a quiet life never to be seen in football again.

Re: Rival Watch

Why not? He was one of the most forgettable players to have ever been at the club. Which one? Mariappa only left because we got relegated, I am sure he would've gone on to have a good career with us if we had stayed up, backed up by the fact he has played consistent Premier League football since le...

Ilori shouldn't be considered a bad signing either. Mariappa was decent in his short time here. Why not? He was one of the most forgettable players to have ever been at the club. Which one? Re: Ex Players

Hate to throw a spanner in but Hob Nobs are,and were, made by McVities,no connection to Huntley and Palmers. H &P were well known for ginger nuts or more appropriately for the broken biscuits which seemed to be part of employees perks and fed most of Reading. Those were the days. Drop a note to ...

Re: Rival Watch

Even if we could spend big, we'd judt pay £10m to bring Nigel Quashie out of retirement. Our big spending is appalling, I don't know why anyone would want us to spend big. Spot on. In fact, spin off thread? Best most expensive signing? Least worst Shirley? For his time, Lita and he shouldn't be cla...

Re: Ex Players

I like how they are not sure on why the name. If they took the time to do a 10 second wiki search, they would've found out. The name is a reference to the town's association with biscuit making: for many years, the town of Reading was home to the Huntley & Palmers biscuit factory, makers of Hob...

Re: PoTS

In Gomes’ system, I’m sorry but he’s been nothing short of abject. Don’t let his goal against Wigan mask just poor he was, plus as said previously it was clearly a foul anyway so shouldn’t have counted. In fairness, his assist against Ipswich was top play There’s a player in there somewhere however...

Re: PoTS

John Smith For all of those saying Rinomhota, don't get me wrong as he's very promising and looks like he has a bright future but as for this - what he achieved? What significant impact has he had on the team? Has he played in a majority of games? Get a grip.

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Might have been mentioned already but Sky Sports reporting Nelson could be back for the final 3 games, apparently he's travelled to see a team of Brazilian medics who say he is recovering ahead of schedule. Witch doctors? https://www.eurodance-90-cd-shop.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/img932.jpg ?
