Re: RUMOUR - Andy Yiadom

Ex Braintree Town, but don't recall noticing him when down there. Let us hope he's another Linvoy Primus!

Meaningless Stats and Trivia from 2017/18 - 1

Well the sun disappeared almost as soon as I'd suggested I would start this thread when I got bored and the weather turned, so here we go. First off is a look at our goal attempts this season, and see if any conclusions whatsoever may be drawn. During the season I have copied the Press Association t...

Re: BFTT Cardiff

Good afternoon all, and hope you are enjoying the sun. Back from Leeds v QPR on Sunday, and watched our match on Sky+. Couple of immediate points - Cardiff aren't very good are they? I reckon they'll be back down after a single season. Mannone didn't have a shot in anger to save IIRC. Cardiff did ha...

Re: Cardiff City (A)

I cannot even bring myself to watch Sky on Sunday. Instead I will be at Elland Road in the DB taking in the atmosphere of a "big" club. It will be interesting to see the fans' reaction should the fake hoops take the lead. Then off to the LUFC players' end of season do. I am expecting to be...

Re: Building for next season

To use an Americanism, I've got nothing. I simply cannot see a way out of the morass. Poor old PC has got a right job on his hands over the summer. I just hope he has had sufficient time since his arrival to identify who needs to be moved out, who is worth persevering with and who of the Academy can...

Re: Back from the ****

Surely Arsene Wenger should be on that list? Not that I need to check that it’s 0%!!!!!!!!! Spot on - the eagle-eyed would have spotted that the original list was only those managers who had managed 5 or more opponents games at the MadStad. Not sure if that was actually the question, so if not apol...

Re: Back from the ****

I would imagine Fulham and their fans will be resigned to their fate when they see who Cardiff are playing next week. would they want to put a full shift in when they know we are certainties to lose? What's worse is Colin could have the last laugh at the club whose been a constant nemesis for him a...

Re: Back from the ****

Has this been our worst ever seen at home since our establishment in 1871? It must be close In the 2012-13 PL season, our home record was P19 W4 D8 L7 F23 A32 In the 1987-88 Old D2 season, our home record was P22 W5 D7 L10 F20 A25 and this season it's P23 W5 D8 L10 F23 A35. In our Southern League d...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Ipswich Town (h) sponsored by just do it!

Good afternoon everyone, been away for a while, and just this minute got back to log on .... and wish I hadn't bothered coming back!

Goodness me that sounds awful. Frankly I can't see how this squad can get us out of the doo-doo.

Colin is going to be a very happy man come next Sunday.

Oh dear,

I was at the recent Kitson RFCFPA do at the Tilehurst BL, Kits did pretty much deny it wasn't him. Could have been a smokescreen of course.

Re: Relegation Watch

Probably already been noted by someone, but we could be effectively safe after next Saturday's games. If we win at Sheffield Wed, and one of Bolton and Birmingham lose their game, we would stay up on GD assuming we lost our last two games and the one of Bolton and Birmingham team not losing their ma...

Re: Nicky Hammond Leaves WBA

Frankly I fear we are stuck with BT due to the impact of Rooney's Rule, (or whatever it's called these days). Sorry strap, but that comes across as borderline racist there. Plus there is no Rooney rule in English football. Oh please! Best man/woman (happy?) for the job, NOT quotas based on race, re...

Re: Relegation Watch

Evening all, well as promised here is the last update of the spreadsheet, showing teams in teh bottom four positions with roughly 4 games to go, for each of the last 10 seasons. The interesting thing to note that in 9 of the last 10 seasons, the teams in the bottom 3 after 42 games ended up being re...

Re: Nicky Hammond Leaves WBA

I was one of the many singling him out for abuse in his early days as RFC's DoF - and he proved me an UTTER bell-end by the time he left, (which to be fair isn't a hard task  ). I suppose the old adage is "never go back", but frankly most on HNA could do a better job of signing playe...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sunderland (h) sponsored by more than 1 shot on target please boys

Just as an aside to Sutekh's usual excellent preview, Chris Coleman has faced RFC 5 times as a manager and he has amassed 1 draw and 4 defeats, scoring only twice and conceding 10. Let us hope he extends that record with a 0-2 defeat to RFC!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (a) sponsored by a night out in the Midlands

So in search of the silver lining ... We are still 5 points clear of the third relegation place, although Barnsley now have a game in hand - at Nottingham Forest. So whilst they have a game in hand, they also have a bit of fixture congestion. I still reckon we stay up if we beat Sunderland and Ipswi...

Haha we're doing better than Juventus, losing away 0-3 rather than at home 0-3.
