Re: Martinez?

Martinez is already on record as saying this loan spell was to get him game time as it was expected he would be #2 at Arsenal next year. The only caveat would be if they signed someone else. If money is tight there then that makes it more likely. Is he a top 6 starter, probably not. Is he good enou...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

I developed a spreadsheet for the run-in back in mid-Jan, at the time Preston were 7th bottom (they're now 7th top!), so I included them. At that time we were 22nd having played 27 games. Since then, the bottom 6 has remained the same, and we have won 14 points from 11 games, Rotherham 11 (from 11),...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

Our first 11 cost 2m? Wow. (Though surely not accurate with McCleary in there?) I know, fees are very difficult to get accurate. I tend to err on the low side. McCleary was actually signed on a Bosman Free as far as I can find. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/garath-mccleary/profil/spieler/69653

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

Hound You do look at Stoke’s team and wonder how they are so low in the table

Would take a point happily tbh, don’t care what form they’ve been on

You're not kidding!!!!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

Peter Bankes is up for this one and Reading are still to collect any form of points from the away trips he has handled. These write ups are class to be fair to you Sutekh. I have found myself considering the refs a lot more lately - there must be a tiny bit of reasoning as to why we haven't won awa...

Re: What points will we finish on and position

The good thing now compared to when all these threads started is that now we're one of four trying to avoid 22nd place rather than one of four trying to avoid the bottom three places. I do think it could be as much as 45/46 to be safe, Rotherham are consistently picking up points now. Although rath...

Re: What points will we finish on and position

21st, 45 points This, if we are VERY lucky. My doomsday scenario has us winning only 3 more points - PNE (home), Brentford (home) and Brum (home), meaning we will be 4 adrift of Rotherham come the end of the season. (I see them beating Forest (home), draw with Villa (home), draw at Swansea, draw at...

Re: Rival Watch

yep very lucky last night, was expecting Wigan to do Blackburn Is that 4 away games in a row for Wigan then? Still think they'll get out of it, thought they were better than Rotherham, but obvs a bad run is hard to get out of. And they have proper slumped down the table 3 away games on the bounce. ...

Re: Rival Watch

Lower West If Birmingham do receive the rumoured 12-15 point deduction. Could bring them right into the mix.

Sorry LW I am clearly out of the loop - what rumour?

Re: Rival Watch

Ffs Birmingham. Lost to Bolton the other week as well. Useless tossers I feel we will need to win our last game of the season v Brum at the MadStad to stand any chance of staying up. It's the only winnable game I see in our last 9 games. Let us hope they are "on the beach" come midday on ...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

Anyone know why Swift was booked last night on 82 minutes? I'd switched off long before then. No mention made in any report I can find. Thanks in advance.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

Leeds have been good, but getting a bit bored of the commentators gushing over every little thing they do, and the disappointment in their voices when something doesn't come off. They excelled themselves when they started moaning about the low attendance. The effing arrogance of Sky, not acknowledg...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

Wigan now 0-3 down, so our GD not taken such a hammering as first looks. Although we need Millwall to lose at Birmingham tomorrow to complete a better night than perhaps it looks at first reading.

CountryRoyal I’ve never seen a more unjust half time score. Very flattering for Leeds.

But it is 0-3 nevertheless.

Yeh but its lucky.
I think I'm watching a different match.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

The whole side are too weak, there is no strength apart from Harriott who honestly isn't up to scratch in this league. Hopefully we will get to May on the right side of the dotted line and rebuild. I think Gomes needs about 8 or 9 players to stop us being in this same place next season They will ha...

In case anyone is remotely interested Treason May's so-called "deal" was defeated again tonight by 149 votes. Apologies got bored looking at Sky Sports Action after their third went in.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

Well at least Wigan and Ipswich are also losing at h/t. So bizarrely we are still 19th. I do feel we are back to relying on other matches to keep us up this season.
