Re: Jem Karacan

Signed for Bolton for a month. Get the feeling that a lot of Champ teams will be watching closely to see if he has what he used to have.

Re: Back from listening to the game v preston on the radio

Sharp to the point and effective defenders work for me.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by WarmUpGate

Oh well, raped by a team that was superior. Can whinge about 1 goal perhaps but in general fair play to Preston, they were just better than Reading.

This season's tombstone will read 'One touch too many'.

Still. Better than a relegation battle. It's ok.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by WarmUpGate

Many managers have a favourite who keeps getting played for reasons no fan can understand. He's had a couple of decent games in recent weeks, but with his overall body of work Blackett is Stam's.

No. Stam needs to take Blackett off at HT.

Absolute kak.

A racehorse would have been shot by now.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by WarmUpGate

The performance hasn't been that bad. They've scored from a Blackett howler and an excellent break/bit of individual skill. We've had our chances and matched them otherwise. Just one of those days.

Re: BFTG Newcastle (H)

That was an enjoyable 0-0 despite the lack of clear chances either way. 2nd half atmosphere was pretty good, fair play to the day trippers swelling numbers over the 23,000 mark. Toe to toe with them, a draw was fair, would have bitten your arm off for a draw at the start and am glad we got it. McCl...

Re: BFTG Newcastle (H)

Yeah, VDB was excellent. I didn't hear Newcastle sing about taking the record, but our lot certainly sang about having it. The Toon were good value, not a bad bunch, I don't begrudge them the league.

Ref had a very good game.

Big crowd, 4,000 geordies plus a whole load of day trippers. Quiet one end loud the other.

Would bite your hand off for a draw.

Re: BFTG Wolves

Anyone else see Stam pick up and push Danny Williams back on the pitch by the scruff of his neck and the back of his waistband after he got fouled into the technical area? Genuine highlight of the match for me.

Re: BFTG Wolves

Blackett was poor. You can't wear boots like that and then play that game. Popa did a lot, very direct, running a split second before the other 21 players but had no cross. Got frustrated by the continued ball over the top for Beerens, he didn't win it once. Van Den Berg was good. I'll be interested...

Huddersfield known for their bestiality? I thought that was mainly reserved for the Welsh. Teabaggers could have worked.
