Re: MATCHWATCH : Croatia (n) sponsored by two big badges

Best team won but hard not to be positive about the direction of the national team. That XI is fairly young and has bought in to what Southgate is trying to do, add to that that we are World Champions at both U17 and U20 level - and some of these players are realising that they don't need to hang a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Croatia (n) sponsored by two big badges

Best team won no complaints except the ref was dreadful. Southgate did a top job with a pretty average set of players. Until we start producing world class players like Modric or Messi. We will always struggle.

Re: Club v Country

We in England are very much a club culture especially at the top table. When England play what teams do you see on the flags? Always lower league clubs Rochdale,Bristol, Barnsley ect. You never see Chelsea United or Liverpool. Because they don’t give a toss about England. An Arsenal fan would rather...

Re: R16: Colombia v England

2-0 Colombia The usual inquest into the state of the national game. To many foreigners overpaid young players blah blah. Nothing will change, the Premiership starts again and all is forgotten.

Re: Fixtures

I think derby is a good start actually. I personally think Lampard has taken on one of the hardest jobs in the league. I think unless derby invest heavily they could struggle a bit this year. They have a very ageing squad and I think last year was the last hurrah for a lot of there players. I saw a...

Yes now we have O Shea we don’t need Moore. 5 million will be a great bit of business along with McShane that will gives us The oldest slowest centre back pairing in Champions history!

Re: CONFIMRED - John O’shea signs for Reading

I wonder how many other clubs were after his signiture? Could you imagine Millwall or Brentford? No they look for hungry young talent from lower leagues. That's why they have done so well the last few seasons our player recruitment s a joke. He's just come here to get 15k a week while he gets his co...

Back from the TV. Really poor game for a side that needed to win to go up Cardiff were piss poor. Credit to the lads for showing a bit of spirit and fight defensively. But a lot of work needed to make us more competitive next season.

well it’s been truly dreadful but it could have been hell of a lot worse. At least the curse of 8 has gone. The work starts now for Paul Clement. I would happily settle for mid table obscurity next season.
