Re: New Manager

Remember eight years ago a ding manager was sacked. A tempory one was put in charge we were near the foot of the table. We were away to a footballing giant in the third round of the cup. Could history repeat itself?

Surprised and a bit disappointed as he seemed a decent bloke. But it’s a results business. No coincidence the day after Howe was appointed CEO.

Re: Are we really going down this season

Yes 100% we are going down. Just two clean sheets and we are nearly half way. The first half against Ipswich should tell you everything. They played us off the park scored 2 should have had 4. They have lost all there games since. We need a manager like Tony Mowberry who took over Blackburn and star...

Re: FA cup 3rd round draw

Next season we may have to play two games to reach this stage. If that was the case we would be doing headstands at getting Man Utd away. Make the most of it this may be the last time we are in the third round for a few years.

Re: Roy Bentley's Stationary Club

On the Xmas list even though I wasn’t born! I still love to read about Reading. Who else would come up with the brilliant idea of changing to Sky Blue because Coventry had won back to back promotions in those colours!

Re: The owners have spoken.

Brentford ‘s player recruitment has been outstanding since joining the championship Jota, Harlee Dean, and Scott Hogan. All bought for pittance sold for big money. And then they get Neal Mapey and Ollie Watkins for less than we payed for Aluko. For me two of the best players in the championship. And...

Re: FA cup 3rd round draw

I remember going to Plymouth about 20 years ago and we took nearly 3,000, and half way into the second half this solo Plymouth fan appeared on the pitch near the half way line and launched a kamikaze run and attack on our end behind the goal.It was hilarious as he launched himself into a gap in our...

Re: BFTG Leeds

Back from the TV. Was expecting a tonking and TBF the team put in a solid shift, But as usual after a promising first half right from the kick off we are on the back foot and nearly conceded in the first minute. Leeds were much quicker, passed the ball faster and we just kept giving it back. Only a ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

We may have a soulless identikit bow l but it was one of the first soulless identikit bowls. It's not our fault other clubs nicked our design. :P Maybe instead of pants day or inflatables day we should have a Walking Dead day (especially if we are in the bottom three.) We have 11 on the pitch to st...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

It was £35 when I went for the worst view in the championship. And whilst Portman Road is an old ground it’s hardly Villa Park and a cauldron of noise. Bearing in mind the utter trip we’ve played the last two seasons it’s amazing anyone bothers to turn up!

Re: BFTG - Ipshit H

For those who said Ipswich played well in the first half they did. But we make every team look good, the defending and our sheer inability to keep hold of the ball was just embarrassing. For the 2nd week running we conceded two goals that would not look out of place in the Reading Sunday league. Whi...
