Re: Rival Watch

Barnsley sack boss Collins with one game remaining Barnsley Football Club can confirm the departure of Head Coach Neill Collins. Collins was appointed last summer and despite several positive spells throughout the season, recent results have left the board of directors feeling that a change is need...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I've been told that there could be some good news this week. We might be finally coming to an end to the saga. If it is announced as complete before Saturday, then that will be an amazing way to end a trying campaign. Carefree home game, with potentially close to a 20k crowd. Party time. "Part...

Re: Would you lose against Blackpool to deny Oxford the play-offs?

Definitely just want us to win and end on a high, we deserve a good mutual lap of appreciation, been a while since it hasn't seemed like a farce and a defeat will put a damper on it. Hopefully results will conspire against Oxford so it won't matter, Exeter are in good form so will be tough for them,...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

Judging by their home attendances, there's probably going to be a similar amount, maybe even more away fans than home fans.

Re: Rival Watch

We can play our part in a potential final day relegation scrap, if we beat Burton and Fleetwood beat Leyton, they play eachother on the final day, Fleetwood win they stay up, if they don't, they go down.

Re: New owners' top 5 priorities

Pretty much, except I'd replace 5 with "assurance that Cat 1 Academy status will be supported for the forseeable". BTW I thought Compass had already quit this "appalling" club themselves. I'm not as committed to a cat 1 academy personally, it's a big investment, especially in Le...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

East Grinstead Royal I thought the suspended points deductions related to pitch invasions and abandonments?

3pts gets triggered if we get another game abandoned.
2pts gets triggered if we are late with wage/tax payments again.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

FT 2-2. With Port Vale and Cheltenham both losing that means Reading are now 10 (TEN) points clear of the bottom 4. Port Vale (21st) don't have enough games left to be able to reach 50 points and Cheltenham can only do so if they win all 4 games they have left but would have to make a good 20 goal ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

They're losing so can't catch us. Burton & Cheltenham are playing each other on Tuesday. Both can't catch us. We're mathematically safe as it stands Ah fair, didn't realise they were playing eachother. Even if they weren't we'd be safe wouldn't we? Bar a 24 goal swing. I mean yeah, realisticall...

St Pauli As it stands we’re safe- Port Vale will never beat our goal difference.

WestYorksRoyal As it stands, not mathematical safe and won't be even if we grab a winner.

I'm not too worried about other results, think the Bristol Rovers game sealed it for me.

Re: The 24/25 Season of Optimism Thread

A poor Rotherham side are coming down but whoever joins them are sure to be up there with 5 points separate 8 teams above them. The annoying thing about Rotherham is, even if they do shit in the Championship, they usually still do well in League One the following season. They are the perennial Yo-Y...

Re: The 24/25 Season of Optimism Thread

I do think we'd have a good shot at top 6 next season, this all hinges on the ownership situation being resolved but, frankly, if it does fall apart the worry would be what happens after that so I think I'd rather not countenance it.
