Re: World Cup Punditry

They're all pcunts but I've been particularly rattled by Matterface and Pearce with their pre-planned anecdotes that they insist on going through regardless of what is happening on the pitch, can't remember which match it was but Pearce was telling some story about a previous world cup and his co-c...

Forgot that one.

Murphy: "He can't go over the wall here"

World Cup Punditry

Anyone particular you have enjoyed? Loathed? Some "special" moments over the weekend. My favourites: Patrice Evra clapping Eni Aluko - possibly the most patronising thing I've ever seen Slaven Bilic asked for his views on an incident and saying "to be honest, I don't care" Roy Ke...

Seriously, how completely chuffing mental are Leicester and Southampton?

Guess that means everyone in the Championship will be asking even more ridiculous sums for their players and what’s even more ridiculous is that clubs will pay it.

Re: World Cup 2018

Whether it was a penalty or not (I actually thought it was outside the area at first), the fact it's highly debatable means the decision shouldn't have been changed.

Fulham. So by your logic, if you're a season ticket holder but don't attend away matches, you're not a real fan?

Top man. Goes to every single home game. Yeah, decent podcast too. John Smith is just trolling again. Am I oxf*rd. When I'm standing in the pissing rain at Hull away next to a load of weirdos under blankets I find it insulting that people claim or question support. He's not a supporter, he's a busy...

Anyone know who @ElmParkRoyals is? He does post-match Periscopes which I find quite amusing and almost insulting as I've never seen him at a game in my life. He isn't a supporter. As his views would convey. Top man. Goes to every single home game. Yeah, decent podcast too. John Smith is just trolli...

Jonathan Pearce having his usual mare.

Says "Corner to Argentina" when Uruguay get a corner, then a minute later Suarez hits the side netting from 2 yards out and Pearce says "GOAL! 1-0 TO URUGUAY......... Oh no, it's been disallowed"

Yeah TalkReading is good. Not a journo account, more of an aggregator, sometimes posts news I miss, and some good stats.

I'm not entirely sure where to put this, as it doesn't deserve a new thread (although we could maybe do with a Local Journo Fail thread) so it can go in here. Our favourite hacks at The Chronicle have mentioned in an article that "their sources suggest" John Swift is on his way, with a pos...

He's getting on a bit too. I imagine it's not uncommon for older footballers to take pay cuts so they can get used to living on less money when they retire.
