Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

Wonder if it will happen at all or it's all no more than Reading enquiring about availability, realising he can score goals and then giving up so they can sign the latest useless youngster from some European league. you do write some nonsense sometimes He certainly likes to take the defeatist/cynic...

Re: VAR

Often a rugby ref physically can't see that there's been a try because of a bundle of bodies, and you need TMO to see all the angles. That's exactly how VAR was used last week to rule out a Leicester goal. The officials had not seen the ball go out for a goal kick. Maybe you could use Hawkeye for t...

Re: VAR

I do think Rugby is slightly different though. With Football, I'd say the majority of the decisions that would be referred to VAR should have been spotted by the referee or linesmen in the first place, and often they could be seen as subjective. With Rugby, the majority of the decisions that are re...

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

Is anyone actually against us signing Martin? If he comes here in the right frame of mind he would be a very good addition. It will freshen up our attack line, boost the confidence of wingers that some one might actually be in the box if they cross it. The list is endless of positives. One negative...

Re: VAR

I'm not sure why I feel this way, but shit refereeing decisions are part of football for me. I enjoy the controversy, the debating down the pub with your mates, arguing and shouting at the ref at matches. If we can keep that, then I'm on board. But I think they need to make it clearer to fans/...

Re: VAR

I thought the whole point of the system was to remove any doubt - it seems we're just stuck with a different version of what we already had, just instead of players hassling the ref for a minute, we all just wait around.

I'm OUT  personally.

I can see Chris Coleman coming in for him in the summer when he rebuilds that Sunderland squad (if he's still there by then).
