Re: New Manager

Closer to home for him though and we have no idea how much he is on either. Depends on his motives I guess. If he is a football man then it is a no brainer for him. Decent record, 2 Portuguese titles, a Chinese title and a Greek title. He had a nightmare in Germany with 1860 Munich, although he was...

Re: New Manager

Paul Hirst didn`t handle the step up too well did he? Awful example to use and an exception to the normal rule. Chris Wilder did. Paul Cook has. Frank Lampard hadn't even managed before. Jaap Stam hadnt managed before. Paul Warne is holding his own at Rotherham. Lee Johnson has done reasonably well...

Re: New Manager

Ah well - he looked promising but it would've been a big and expensive gamble.

Jokanovic is still winning my vote.

Re: New Manager

Yes, especially as they were quite able to snap the owners box, with them there. But nothing on this agent who was apparently at the game... They showed a clear shot on the telly of Howe, with Joorabchian (or someone who looked a lot like him) sat next to him, looking bored, playing with his phone....

Re: New Manager

Why did we sign Ilori for 4 million when he was completely unproven at this level? From memory I think it was reported as £2m, but I could be wrong. Regardless, at the time he was a player with some potential, a good pedigree and a decent reputation but not a lot of first team history (I'm not sure...

Re: New Manager

I was a bit confused about us considering Ainsworth, then I realised Wycombe aren't in League Two, they're 9th in League One

Re: New Manager

Saw this, I genuinely don’t get why people feel the need to do that, or change their pictures to a player/manager. It’s very odd. I understand that it's called "repping" in the youth parlance. I'm not even 30 yet and I feel old. Ok then. They can just carry on repping to their 40 f...

Re: New Manager

Isn't it plain to see that all the Castro stories (has there been more than one?) are being fed to the journo by Joorbachian, unfortunately as the journo in question is Charles Watts everybody is lapping it up Him apparently sitting next to Howe at the game has added significant weight to the stori...

Castro to be confirmed Tuesday or Wednesday. Slaviša Jokanović was approached, briefly spoken to, and we moved on. Yet BBC Berks are reporting that Nigel is handing a 10 name short list to the owners this morning. The local press and media are so far behind everything their views or reports should ...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

Bloody hell, DD. Wish I hadn't said anything now. He is the wettest member on this board, he actually was behind a social media campaign to ban swearing at football matches. Tells you everything and you should be backing me not making unfunny DD references. You know how you sometimes tell Ian to ju...
