Re: BFTG -Bolton

He is perfectly articulate he just never actually says anything. Apart from: Before the game - No matter where they are in the table (they could be 15 points adrift at the bottom) the opposition are always a good team, with good strong players who carry a threat. It is always our job to set up to d...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by 12 Parkinsons

Ruined this club! Have a fcuking day off. I thought you were retiring this persona? This season maybe I should have added. His tactics have ruined us This season. Last year worked wonders. This year I dont know wtf has gone on. God forbid blackett starting against Sheffield United in the form they ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

18th November - Home to Wolves - some extracts from their MolineuxMix forum. "We're usually just better than the opposition, today was luck though. Not too many other games this season where we have won and it's not been deserved." "we scored two great goals and played some nice stuff...

Re: Parking

I prefer the original. Has the feeling of a haiku or something like that. As opposed to a ditty. Another Pointless watcher? Occasionally, yes. But I don't see.... Every now and then the Pointless questions are delivered in haiku form. It is the only time I have ever heard of that literary form!!

Re: BFTG - Ramming the Rams

To pull off a performance like that with our injury list is fcuking impressive. Tactically spot on. Well done Stam, you've earned a lot of faith from me this week. Absolutely. We also looked good against Forest and - against conventional wisdom - we were pretty good against Middlesborough too! So w...

It's been enjoyable following this match on the Derby fans forum!! :P Link please? Doubtless they've been blaming their injury 'crisis' and absence of a key striker! The match itself starts around here but there are really confident noises on the previous pages of course!! https://dcfcfans.uk...

Possession has evened out at 50% each and we have now had 4 (wayward) shots on goal. An improvement on the first half?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (a) sponsored by a deep dark realisation that this way creeps

Is this what it's come to? We scrape a 1-0 win in another very dull affair vs a very lacklustre Leeds side and we celebrate as if we've won the league. Inb4 reality hits in once we lose 2-0 to Sheffield United next week. Stam out. We celebrate because we have stopped the rot. We celebrate because w...

Re: Theoretical: Sack Stam and replace with ...?

We would be mad to sack Stam now! If we do then the last thing we want to replace him is one of the dinosaurs that are Warnock, Redknapp or Allardyce. Hoddle, despite his years out of management, could be the best bet to build on what Stam has started at Reading but we have to stick with Stam surely...

Re: Gunter

So basically, he appears to play better for Wales because (a) Wales have better players than us - anybody who doesn't think so is deluded, and (b) they have a plan where everybody knows exactly how everybody else is going to play. We can't do anything about (a), but we should be able to do somethin...

Re: Back from booing at my tv screen

I can't believe some of the comments on here!! Norwich was the best team I have seen at the Mad Stad so far this season and I thought we shaded the first half and they shaded the second half. It was a good performance from us and a change from what the side has served up recently. In what way? Well,...

Re: BFTG Swansea

It was a frustrating evening but not as bad as has been painted by some posters here! The stats suggest a very even game in terms of possession, attempts on goal, corners, etc and that was certainly the case in the first half when we more than held our own. But we were not clinical in front of goal ...

Re: Injury watch 2017-18 season

A suggestion that Swift's injury is a hamstring is bad news but do we know how bad that is? Or Liam Kelly's injury? Missing both those players is bad news. Swift has been improving after his last injury so we don't want another to further knock his confidence. They are two vital players for us.
