I was bemused by the fact he called Yann a 'legend'. (After one good season).

He was good that season, but legend. You're 'aving a laff.

Re: England’s World Cup Finals 2018

Was difficult for me to get engaged with the game on Saturday, just because it felt so comfortable. never really felt threatened, scored at the right times, controlled the game. Yeah, this. I watched it in The Rose & Thistle, and whilst the pub went berserk for both goals, the final whistle was...

Re: England’s World Cup Finals 2018

What a team these bunch of players are, it's going to be so surreal going back to club football, especially if they go all the way... I would applaud each and everyone of them if they ever came down to Reading to play

Re: What are you planning for Saturday?

Wow what a day, and now we the dream is in full flight, I think Wednesday will be spent in the local. Just taking one game at a time but Sunday could be an amazing day out in London.

Re: What are you planning for Saturday?

Looking like the town hall end of Friar street again, will be large queues forming from around 13.30 so I'm getting into the Monks around midday to get my seat in front of one of the larger screens. Didn't realise the monks had TVs? Ever since it was taken over by the the Yates chain, what is the B...

Re: What are you planning for Saturday?

Trying desperately to get out of something in order to make it home for the start of the match. Going to be touch and go. Really needed it to be the 7pm kick off. Just say you're not doing the thing or that you will be leaving at whatever time... Not as easy as that. My daughter does dancing and sh...

What are you planning for Saturday?

I feel like this is a really big decision these kind of events don't come around all too often. My day is going to start with a big café breakfast, then I will be heading down to Brighton for a few beers in the local pubs before going down to the beach cinema screen. Then my evening will be filled w...

Re: World Cup 2018

This day without world cup is just stupid, what do we talk about. Aliens? How about this. When I saw the draw last night for the last 16 I was struck by the absence of any teams from Africa and the vast majority being from S America & Europe. So I looked back at the 16 teams that qualified for ...
