Re: Twenty’s Plenty

Personally I don't believe that two wrongs make a right. It's wrong to charge away fans those kind of prices full-stop. Anyway - why do people get so upset by the way that Chinese billionaires are spending their own money? If we have FFP issue in the future then maybe we need to question these thing...

The manner of Rotherham's defeat is important as well. Will seriously knock their confidence.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Could you please explain why a beer brand would approach an organisation they don't know exists to offer them free beer for a fixture against Wigan? Think about it. I haven't suggested Nigel Howe doesn't support Club 1871, I have asked for evidence to be provided that he supports them and wishes fo...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

But seriously - if we were a publicly owned club and were spending money supporting 1871 then that would be one thing. Maybe it would be reasonable to have a discussion about whether it's a good use of money. But we're privately owned - it's all the owners money from start to finish - there is no re...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Yes. The clue is Club 1871 saying the offer was courtesy of Heineken and not the football club. And that's evidence of the organiser begging? Do you have evidence Heineken didnt approach them? Sounds like opinion to me. Could you please explain why a beer brand would approach an organisation they d...

Re: PoTS

This award has pretty much descended into: "Who has played a reasonable number of games and not been awful." On that basis I guess Yiadom; hasn't done a lot wrong, hasn't added much to our attack though. I can see why giving it to Rinomhota would be a bit more meaningful; recognise a young...

Re: Rival Watch

Hound 9pt deduction for Brum apparently. Not quite enough to really drag them into it, but a couple more defeats and they'll be worried

So Brum at home on the last day could decide what leagues we play in next season . . .

What could possibli go wrong!

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Takes time for these things to build. If we weren't so inept behind the scenes during the summer/beginning of the season then it would probably be more popular. I'm not sure why any fan would want an increased number of away supporters visiting, drowning out any attempt from us. For what it's worth...

Seems like Brum are going to avoid a points deduction this season:

Hound
tidus_mi2 Meanwhile, Novakovich scored again yesterday.

Yep and an assist

McNulty has scored 7 in 7

But they aren’t available so not much point moaning

Yeah, McNulty is very effective at scoring in lower standard leagues.

If we get relegated it might be worth keeping him on.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

McCleary should have done a lot better in the end there.

Stoke gave us space to play and we showed our usual 'attacking but ineffective' style.

Still - a reasonable response after Tuesday.
