Re: PoTS

This award has pretty much descended into: "Who has played a reasonable number of games and not been awful." On that basis I guess Yiadom; hasn't done a lot wrong, hasn't added much to our attack though. I can see why giving it to Rinomhota would be a bit more meaningful; recognise a young...

Re: Rival Watch

Hound 9pt deduction for Brum apparently. Not quite enough to really drag them into it, but a couple more defeats and they'll be worried

So Brum at home on the last day could decide what leagues we play in next season . . .

What could possibli go wrong!

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Takes time for these things to build. If we weren't so inept behind the scenes during the summer/beginning of the season then it would probably be more popular. I'm not sure why any fan would want an increased number of away supporters visiting, drowning out any attempt from us. For what it's worth...

Re: Rival Watch

Seems like Brum are going to avoid a points deduction this season:

Would have made our final game with them interesting . . .

Hound
tidus_mi2 Meanwhile, Novakovich scored again yesterday.

Yep and an assist

McNulty has scored 7 in 7

But they aren’t available so not much point moaning

Yeah, McNulty is very effective at scoring in lower standard leagues.

If we get relegated it might be worth keeping him on.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

McCleary should have done a lot better in the end there.

Stoke gave us space to play and we showed our usual 'attacking but ineffective' style.

Still - a reasonable response after Tuesday.

Re: Financial Fair Play

It's important to repeat that with this kind of ownership model, everything is dependent on the finances and desires of your owner. The day to day state of your finances or what the clubs owns/owes or doesn't isn't that important. I mean - obviously it makes a difference to our long term security if...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

I don't think anyone truly thinks that the squad we currently have and particularly the starting XI we had last night would be looking any higher than 12th if they could find some form of consistancy - anyone saying otherwise is deceiving themselves. If we stay up, this team still needs a massive o...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

Watching games like this and Sheffield just puts to bed any idea that we have a squad of players that are anything other than mid-table at best. So please lets not have any more "If only the players cared more/the manager was better/the crowd backed the boys" posts and just accept that thi...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Just started to take a look through the accounts for both the football club and Renhe Sports Management (its formal UK parent company). Here are some key points coming out for me 1. While we lost £21m (which including a net spend on players of £6.8m), the club actually burnt through £27m in cash. T...

Re: Financial Fair Play

The audit opinion has an emphasis of matter in respect of going concern - which is highlighting that a material uncertainty exists in respect of the ability for the club to continue to operate in the foreseeable future. This is due to the reliance on ongoing support from the Chinese owners - there ...

Which they had to give away free beer for thus costing the club even more money. They are only there for another few games though, the nightmare will be over soon. Of all the things the club could 'waste' money on - making fans happier and encouraging support is pretty acceptable. You have to remem...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Reading in the chronic that since the Chinese took over we have lost £34.7m that's not far short of the £39m for exceeding the FFP threshold over 3 years. Next year will need to be cost cutting like you wouldn`t know. That's how much the club is in debt, not how much we've lost since they took over...
