Re: Fixtures

I'm abroad for the first game so the Sky coverage gets my thumbs up! Can't wait to be cheering our first win in a pair of 2008 home shorts, with gut spilling over, pint and flip flops and sunburnt back whilst cradling a handled mug of San Miguel. PUKKA! You're expecting the bars in Spain to show a ...

Re: Season 2018/2019

At our level I think that having stability and a good atmosphere at the club is highly important to how you do. I fairly optimistic that Paul Clement is the man to encourage that. Maybe this is just me but I think that we've finally moved on from the whole Russians/McDermott-Thais/McDermott stuff an...

Means we're unlikely to see 20,000+ fans in the stadium any time soon unless we catch a big team in the cup.

Re: CONFIMRED - John O’shea signs for Reading

IMO these are the signings of a club trying to plug gaps so it can get through a Championship season without being involved in another relegation battle. Rather than a club that has genuine ambitions of being in the Premier League. Don't get me wrong, it's fine to be realistic given the huge sums of...

Re: Goodbye

What's going on at QPR? Bookies making it look like they're about to implode! Harsh on Millwall, geez  And Preston Also . WTF are Brentford and Leeds doing up there to win it?! Leeds will sack Paul Heckinbottm after about 15 games. Plus Sheff weds, Hull and Brum were atrocious this sea...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Yeah can really see a sponsor agreeing to have their logo shrunk down to an inlegible size and having half of it removed. These mock up kits are oxf*rd stupid. Yeh they look great.... So? I could also knock up a completely imaginary kit in paint. It's rainbow colour and says oxf*rd Swindon as the s...

Re: Potential new kits

Here are the kits... Stuff going to that website, loads like a dog's breakfast... Home Kit https://i.imgur.com/AtEhKQB.png Away Kit https://i.imgur.com/lDzWLIm.png 3rd Kit https://i.imgur.com/O3JxbVT.png All very sexy but we all know they wont look like that and probably just be boring. Wish we had...

Re: 2017/2018 - What went wrong?

Might be a bit simplistic but I put it squarely down to the mental issues suffered by the team following us conceding two late goals against Cardiff in early December. We had just come off the back of two wins against Barnsley & Sunderland and our tails were up. Winning against Cardiff would ha...

Re: Season Tickets 18/19

I don't think season ticket prices are unreasonable but it would be nice if the club could offer some non-fleecing payment plans. For example - an adult East Stand could be £75 deposit then £100 on 1 September, December and March. It can't be that hard to administer.

Re: CONFIMRED - Andy Yiadom

Another thought - this does mean we could revive the 'wing-back' idea. I guess that both Obita and Yiadom would be better suited to a more free-flowing, attacking role. But then I hear that Clement isn't keen on that style. Something like --------------------------------Manone ----------------------...

Re: CONFIMRED - Andy Yiadom

Losing is a bad habit to get into. Players get nervous, hide, and underperform on a losing streak. Bringing in a player who experienced relegation might not be the best way to break the cycle of underachievement. Not a bad signing in and of itself, but we also need some players added to the current...

Re: CONFIMRED - Andy Yiadom

Sounds like a sensible signing given our ambitions at the moment. He'll probably move between LB and RB cover for most of next season before fully replacing Gunter the one after. Next on the target list is someone in midfield who can make things happen and a decent striker. He's 26 and signed a 4 y...

Re: 2017/2018 - What went wrong?

For me it basically comes down to a reduction in quality available, worse luck and a continued deterioration in moral/mentality at the club. Basically - 2016/17 was like someone rolling four dice and all of them coming up 5 or 6. 2017/18 was like someone rolling three dice and all of them coming up ...

Re: Building for next season

Am I alone in thinking we really ought to play 3 at the back next season? •Blackett only has a hope if he plays as a three •Gunter would be great in a three and wouldn’t frustrate us like he does as full back •Obita, Richards and Watson would be better suited to wingback •Bacuna could be amazing as...

Re: Safe standing progress

What does that have to do with anything? some people have the bizarre idea that allowing safe-standing/terracing means everyone will forced to stand. One of the the stupid things in all this is that there's absolutely nothing at all, not a single regulation anywhere, that prevents clubs installing ...

Re: Goodbye

I think it's important that we do consider the reasons for why the season was so bad. I mean, to an extent you do want to get forget it and move on but you want to deal with any problems that are still around. - We didn't really have an ownership or budgeting issues this season. Ok, we didn't have m...
