Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Several posts on twitter, mostly seeing one and copying it, saying it`s a done deal, I paid particular interest to the directors box today and Mark Bowen was a lonely figure sitting in the front row on his own. Now if we were on the verge of an imminent takeover to would expect some of them to be h...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Isn't every level unsustainable unless you're Man Utd size? If we get promoted, income goes 2x up but wages go 2.5x up. In the PL, incorrect goes 5x up and so do wages. Newly promoted teams make a profit, but if they stick around there the players who do the business start asking for wages that ref...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

It's unlikely they would make any profit selling us in the Championship. It's more expensive to fund a Championship side than League One. Only if we were consistently challenging for promotion.

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

A ‘regulator’!!!! It’s such a bizarre response. Just think about what you are saying. Who pays for it (look out for the gravy train) Who decides what they regulate and what they don’t? And what does it mean - another layer of bureaucracy… more cost to fans …. Be careful what you wish for. The FCA a...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Speaking to someone at the club today and there is real fear now. Even the most senior figures don't understand what Dai and Pang are doing and they can't rule out 'shenanigans'. I know that every course of action seems futile at the moment - but the only thing that has a chance of working is puttin...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

As far as I can see the only way you can make sense of the decision to sell the training ground is if Dai is going to pocket that money. He would be crazy to put it in the club as it will just get squandered and he has effectively made the club unsaleable by his action. So looks to me like this is ...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Well, the whole Bearwood press release on Sunday makes a bit more sense now. Obviously Dai was already in discussions with Wycombe and wanted to both prepare fans for the sale and suggest that he was still looking at other buyers to drive up the price.

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

The Bloke has basically had his assets frozen whilst an investigation into falsely declaring securities that he did not own. He has bigger issues to worry about than a small football club, I.E embezzlement carries the death penalty in China. When his UK based sister handed all of her share holdings...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

The big mystery around all of this is what is going on with Dai's finances. Sure - we all know that he doesn't care about the club anymore, but is too stubborn to accept reasonable offers to sell. But he's also undermining the value of the club by not funding our key commitments on time. He has paid...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

The club has gone out of its way to make it clear that this is a statement specifically from Dai and Pang. My understanding is that they're aware that this is a dumb idea and is highly unlikely to go anywhere.

I like the idea of being able to donate to buy a ticket for someone else. Larger crowds, club gets more money, maybe create some more long term fans.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

On another note - the news over the past few days - there are 2 readings into it 1. The club truly is utterly screwed and money will definitely run out in the next couple of weeks unless they can source funding or 2. This is all part of a plan to try and get some momentum going. Over the past few d...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

It wouldn't, from what I heard this morning it's much worse than that. And the issue is the lack of trust in Dai, you're asking average fans to raid their savings and give money to a Chinese Billionaire who doesn't want to spend his own. I'm expecting that the club will announce something by the en...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

They are miles away from wrongful trading. In the summer the club could sell all its players, hire cheaper ones, and use the windfall of new season tickets and TV money to carry on trading, albeit as a much less competitive club. The only way they could be wrongful trading is if the clubs fixed cos...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Pompey fans raised £2.5m for their club. Why can't Reading do similar? Even £500k would probably get us over March's key obligations and buy more time for a deal until late April. It wouldn't, from what I heard this morning it's much worse than that. And the issue is the lack of trust in Dai, you'r...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

In terms of points deduction, it won't make any difference to whether the players agree to a wage deferral or not. It's going to be hard to get anyone to invest in the club whilst Dai appears to be acting in bad faith. Any idea how much Howe has involved Dai? Any risk we get a repeat of Genevra whe...
