Re: The generic transfer thread

Actually, based on his spell at Swansea, if Renato Sanches is a factor at Bayern, then Ramsey has every chance there.

Bizarre.

I think there's a better player in Ramsey than we've seen for some of his time at Arsenal, but I don't see him as Bayern good.

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Harry Kewell has been sacked by Notts County 10 weeks after being appointed as the League Two club's "long-term solution" as manager. Ridiculous. 14 games. Yeah, that's a bit silly. The Notts County owners made some good noises about a long-term plan, stability etc, proven to be bullshit.

Somehow they can still make the knockout stages. They need to beat Inter at home, and then at least match Inter's result in the last round of games (Spurs go to Barca).

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Utterly bizarre result. As stranded said, still in Liverpool's hands, but a 2 goal win over Napoli looks distant at the moment. And it will likely have to be 2, as it's difficult to see goal difference not swinging in Napoli's favour (as the second decider after matches played against each other) th...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46094403 Not Europe, but we don't have a world leagues thread. In Paraguay, Fernando Ovelar has equalled Freddy Adu's record as the youngest scorer in a professional league, aged 14 years and 9 months. Quality finish too. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/4609...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

PSG have now won their first 12 league games, which is a European top-flight record, beating Spurs' 11 wins from 1960/61. Can't find what the European record for all divisions might be - of course it is Reading's 13 for the English leagues. That ridiculous Steuea Bucharest side of the 80s never won ...

Re: The footballer gets arrested thread

Might have been a tiny, tiny chance for Johnson had Johnson taken full and immediate responsibility for his actions and shown humility, but both he and his family seem to have taken the view that she was nearly old enough, wanted it, and he should never have gone to prison in the first place. So ab...

Two more goals from Sancho for Dortmund at the weekend, and his third successive league start. What an impact this kid is having - only one player has been involved in more goals than Sancho's 10 so far this season in Bundesliga, although Sancho has done it in just 376 minutes on the pitch.

Yeah that's a decent point.

So far this season, excluding results against the traditional big six...

Arsenal (7) 7-0-0
City (7) 6-1-0
Liverpool (6) 6-0-0
Spurs (7) 6-0-1
Chelsea (6) 5-1-0

Ominous for the smaller sides, just 7 points dropped in 33 games!

United (7) 4-1-2

There's always an element of moving the goalposts when it comes to criticising the bigger teams, I find. Were winning ten on the spin easy, whoever the opponent, it would happen all the time, but it isn't. Goes for Liverpool too - they beat the big sides, and then hammer the little sides but get hel...

Bayern won 3-1 at Wolfsburg at the weekend despite Arjen Robben being sent off midway through the second half. But the leaders kept up their pace Moenchengladbach, Werder Bremen and Dortmund all won, the latter 4-0 from just 4 shots on target, including a goal for Jadon Sancho, and another one for P...
