Re: BFTG - Bristol City

Well I don't remember Martinez making many saves, certainly not any "decent" saves and a save that a goalkeeper championship shouldn't be making. He's then in no man's land for the goal. A talented goalkeeper yes, but also an overrated one It’s not just the saves though. Those two deadly ...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City

How many opportunities did Oli squander?! Struggling to think of many worse substitute appearances. He desperately needs a goal. Anyway, a really good point away at a good team. You can see why they’re successful, the amount of balls they lumped into the box was mental and for the most part we defe...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City

Strange game really, didn't think we played well at all, yet there were never really any moments I was worried that we'd lose. There were some real basics missing out there today, the retaining of possession was poor, we weren't winning second balls until the last 10 minutes, there was a real lack o...

Re: Financial Fair Play

I'm hearing the Oliveira deal is around £3.5 - 4m which is pretty much all our budget next year. This is all but done as long as we stay up and I also hear that Baker looks very likely to come back on loan next year. Martinez has been told he must go back to Arsenal for the start of the season. I g...

Re: Swift to Leeds

Seems an ideal candidate for low cost back up to develop. But this sort of signing could suggest a lack of faith in the likes of Barrett, Frost and maybe Holsgrove stepping up? Not sure I'd want him to replace Swift and Eja on his own. Could be wrong but lower league punts never really seem to work...

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

I think the thing with Miazga is we have 1 other CB really who can do a job which is Moore. Other than that, we have McShane and O'Shea who are two years after their shelf life, and a bunch of youngsters who no-one can really say if they're adequate (U23 isn't always the best barometer to judge abil...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

Significant that he said that Gomes was a much better communicator, even though he expected that Clement would be. Also liked what he said about Gomes dividing the pitch into zones. Red zone, at the back - stick to your role, stick to the rules, etc. Green zone up top - do whatever you like. That f...

Re: CONFIMRED - Liam Moore

Comes across very well on his interview with the Elm Park Royals podcast. Very interesting to hear how his transfer saga went down- Brighton were interested, he agreed with those 'above' him (presumably Gourlay/Nani) that he could leave if Brighton met a certain valuation. The owners fly over and s...

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

Will probably keep changing my mind but for now I'd say 1. Miazga 2. Baker 3. Oliveira 4. Martinez 5. Eza 6. Ejaria - Miazga has been nothing short of a revelation since coming in, he's comfortable on the floor, he's comfortable in the air, and most importantly is solid - Baker took a while to adjus...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by Scott Murray

I think Martinez, Yiadom, Moore, Miazga, Baker, Rinomhota, Ejaria, Barrow, Meite and Oliveira are all guaranteed starters tomorrow permitting injuries. The question is really Gunter or Blackett Gunter doesn't really deserve to be dropped after his last two performances but then again Blackett probab...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Ejaria still takes too many risks with the ball in dangerous areas, but he's improving in that stead. Doesn't have the dead ball skills of Swift, (or at least, we have no evidence that he does) but if we get Baker, we don't need Swift. For me, the thing with Ejaria is he is still very much a work i...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

What do you think of Swift missing anyway? Big miss or is Ejaria good enough to fill his shoes? Right now I'm unsure of Ejaria, in that role anyway. Still, he's made strides in recent weeks. I suppose the next 4 games are big for him, as I suppose they are for many. Quite a few will want to impress...

Old Man Andrews
One87One Swift is great on his day

No, no he isn't.

TBF anyone is great on their day. But I get his point and for all the Swift haters, I wouldn't be surprised if he was in the Premier League before we got back there

Re: Swift to Leeds

According to SSN we are interested in Reece Brown from FGR. Plays in Swift’s position from what I can gather, goal scoring ACM Don’t know too much about him tbh Edit - just had a quick search round. 10 goals 11 assists for FGR this season. Just won a div2 player of the month. Looks a good player if...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Nonsense? As I said, if it weren't for me, and him, you wouldn't have said anything (for which, he's 'showing off'). Pardon the deliveries, but you're glad someone reminded you. How else may they have done it? Yes, of course, some people in here make up shit. It turns out, he didn't. And, we're mos...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

What? So if he hadn’t have ‘shown off’ about it, you’d have been back in here (at some point) to give him props? So his ‘crime’ was not revealing his sources to you? Why would he? So you can be first with the news instead? He was right, you were wrong. Address him. Yet more nonsense from you. I've ...

I would ‘think’ on an internet discussion forum a lot of it is about what people think? All he said was hmmm, and he was right, so why not give it up? No big deal, right? (Oh, you were going to come back in here and give it up voluntarily? Fyi, he woz calling you out cos he knew, and I knew, you wo...
