Re: Next England Manager

Decent performance there from England, if a little toothless. Germany did their typical friendly thing of never really getting out of 2nd gear, treating it very much like a training match. Once they scored they moved into the protect the lead and see out the game training session.

For big club home advantage

Re: If RFC don't make the play-offs....

I think we'd be disasterous in the prem as it stands. We concede so many chances every single game. That being said, Thais or Chinese I think we'd be in a much better position to recruit necessary quality than we were last time out. I thought we looked terrified against Utd and our game plan has be...

Re: If RFC don't make the play-offs....

You're bringing me round hssc, seeing us win a POF at Wembley would definitely be magic. Especially at Brighton's expense.
Mind you, losing to them there doesn't bear thinking about.

Re: BFTG - Wednesday (A)

Having watched it 5 or 6 times, I still can't understand how that one across the face of the goal from Wednesday didn't go it. Excruciatingly close. A handful of inches pulled further back and it'd get tapped in, a handful of inches further forward and it'd probably go in off the post. Popa's goal r...

Who are the patronising big clubs Ian? Utd, Liverpool, City, Spurs, Arsenal... you know. The big ones. When it comes to patronising w*nkers I can't believe you didn't include Chelsea.....I'd love Abramovich to pull the plug on those p+icks. Sadly it won't happen but would be funny to watch them do ...

Re: If RFC don't make the play-offs....

What's everyone's opinion if we fail to make the playoffs now in this position  I'd be gutted personally based on how longs left and the gap between us and 6th/7th but at the same time our record in the playoffs is complete gash. Surely we will win them this time even if we are a long way fro...

Re: Our Starting XI in League this season.

I think the tinkering has really set in since January. This also doesn't necessarily reflect the amount of tinkering going on. It shows that there's a core group Stam returns to, but not that there's a settled team. Suggested alternative measure: average number of changes from match to match. It's ...

Re: Rival Watch

As much as it pains me to say it though Brighton probably deserve a shot at the premier league, they're basically us 12 years ago with a bigger stadium. I don't want them to go up though. Certainly are. I like to think we managed ourselves with greater humility, despite smashing the entire league (...

Re: Our Starting XI in League this season.

I think if you factor in that McCleary has played right wing, right back, left wing and striker, Gunter has played right back, centreback and left back, Berg midfield and centreback, etc, etc then whilst the playing personnel haven't changed hugely, the XI has been tinkered with a lot more than just...

Re: End of season Magic Number countdown.

Play Offs (sixth): 21 Or 19 if you do the calculation correctly. The only one I didn't double check, and completely forgot about Fulham's midweek draw. Must be less than 19 as Sheff Wed play Fulham last game? I'm sad enough to do this, but not sad enough to cross reference who's playing who ...

Pretty balanced responses from most there. A few fans still living in their glorious past (fair enough I spose). You gotta realise things change chaps. Unless you're one of the half dozen mega sides you've got to perform or you're nowhere and someone 'tinpot' will supplant you. Whether that's Leices...

Taken top class strikers and rendered them unable to score. Only listened on the radio after driving to ...
