Re: Transfer fees out of control

Its farcical and frankly football as a sport is not really enjoyable anymore. What honor, dignity or respect is there when you look at teams like Man City, Chelsea, Bayern, Real Madrid, etc just throwing money at every up and coming youngster as well as anyone who is performing half decently in Eur...

Re: The Wololoverhamptololn Wandererlols Mealtdown Thread

They really have to go up at first try for this not to set them back.

I admire the ambition and I bet the fans are excited.

Re: The generic transfer thread

Uh, surely by definition if you finish in the top four, you're a top four club? Not to mention twice in the last two seasons, as well. Interested to know other's thoughts on this. I think reputation and more importantly trophies come into it. Utd, City, Chelsea and Arsenal are all bugger clubs and ...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Is that true? Kane? Eriksen? Basic wage, I don't think so. Probably over £100k with bonuses. They had an £80,000 wage cap until last year when they signed up their major players with new deals. Still, nothing compared to the other top 4 clubs. They're doing well don't get me wrong but I still would...

Re: The generic transfer thread

I liked Monaco's reasoning behind the fee. Mendy is better than Walker so they'll have to pay more than £40m. That is some spending by City. They'll HAVE to win something this year, otherwise Pep could be out on his ear....big pressure. Pep to be gone by Christmas. Biggest fraud since Adkins. Weird...

Great bit of business. He's easily as good as some of the strikers at top clubs and better than most of their second striker.

I.e. Jansson, Rashford, Batshuyi, whoever Everton have, Jesus..

Re: Rumour - Ashley Fletcher

I just don't see how he is any better than Samuel looking at his stats. Has anyone seen him play at all and could comment? Is he younger than Samuel, is he less injury prone than Samuel? Stam's seen plenty of Samuel, better try someone who might be better than stick with someone you don't think is ...

Re: 2017-2018 Squad Numbers

Is playing Cooper at left full back (or in a back 3) an option that Stam is toying with............. On the basis that replacement is found. I may be wrong but i think the Dutch numbering is often like this - -----------1---------- 2-----3------4-----5 ----6------------8---- 7--------10--------11 -...

Boro are mugs and paid £5M for Darren Randolph who's no better a keeper in my opinion.

Might be my nationality talking but Randolph is a better keeper.

Feel like we're setting ourselves up for a huge lol right now if they stay up..

Don't get me wrong I think it would be a surprise considering the strength of the division and their squad right now but if they manage it I can imagine a lot of these quotes will have been screenshot..

Some idiot ironed it without first turning the shirt inside out

My mum washed my Doyle 06-07 on a hot wash and not inside out that season. Devastating.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Meh, it's some outfits for some men to run around in. I occasionally get one for that purpose myself. I don't think I'll make a purchase this time. My world is unaltered by happiness or sadness. My thoughts as well. Utterly disinterested in the annual tinkering with the kit and cannot understand th...

They seem passable. First reaction for me is

The away jersey is nice. Half hoops are interesting and will probably age horribly.

Last 100 players on loan

Read this http://www.planetfootball.com/quick-reads/leeds-united-fan-ludicrously-rated-100-loan-signings-since-2004/ yesterday. Seemed like a fun idea for any more knowledgeable fans than me.
Anyone feel up to it?

Axel's younger brother Jokull is a goalkeeper on our books. Joined at the same time.

Are they both Andre's sons?

I'm showing interest in my mates ex girlfriend but nothing's going to happen. Is she single? Have you spoken to your friend? I believe in you go out there and make it happen. Re: Rumour - Modou Barrow

Videos online which showcase his skills all seem to show him running down blind alleys, trying one trick too many, getting dispossessed and giving away a free kick or putting a poor ball into the box. Therefore I'm OUT for this signing. Especially when we have other decent wingers already who Stam ...
