Re: RUMOUR - Paul Smyth

Yep, Whyte rather than White, Smyth rather than Smith. No I have no idea why, it's just always been like that. Literally know 3 Irish Smith families and 2 White families (Yes there's a joke there. Move on.) And have never met one spelled with a y. Shows the danger of using anecdotal evidence! Have ...

Re: RUMOUR - Paul Smyth

Not keen on players called Smyth rather than Smith. Find it a bit confusing tbh. I think it is just an Irish thing-my daughter is marrying one next month but, as far as I know, he is not related to this one. Yep, Whyte rather than White, Smyth rather than Smith. No I have no idea why, it's just alw...

Re: BFTG - Villa

WTF happened last night?......Width, Creation, Crossing, Wide men taking on fullbacks and getting behind the defence. It was like a new team. Has JS unleashed a beast? Best and almost the most satisfying performance under him. After that early scare we never looked back. I suspect the powers that b...

Re: BFTG - Villa

I forgot to say did anyone else see the bit where the ball was heading out straight towards Stam and Green was running at him then stopped VERY quickly. Stam must still be intimidating behind the ball..

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

I quite liked the "Readings shit, we're going home" followed by the "why are you still here then" Disclaimer: these might not be the actual words sung. The gist is there. "I wanna go home, I wanna go home, Reading's / this is a shit hole, I wanna go home." Reply "...

Re: BFTG - Villa

A lot of people saying Villa were terrible on the match thread, but whilst that may be to some extent true that was largely because we bossed them and were hungrier with much more quality. Yeah. They looked utterly shit, but that's mostly because they let our best players play, and had no answer to...

Re: BFTG - Villa

Well. Back from the stream and very happy. Tactics were fantastic. Hopefully a taste of what our game plan will be throughout the season. Make no mistake that was not a full strength team. If our squad players are able to produce displays like that it should not only allow us more impressive sub opt...

FT win. And I believe that's 2-1 as predicted, with one of the goalscorers. 8)

Sorry I was ffs giving away a freekick in that position.

McCleary is still our best winger. Clement is not a striker.

Villa shocking btw

First goal from a corner so I'm still happy. Villa don't seem to have a midfield.
