Re: Clement

Agreed Nor would I. Same as Di canio. Good player and would sort their attitudes out and kick them up the backside but he wouldn't manage us well. We would need somebody a bit more modern I believe. Who could that be? No idea. Dave Kitson seems like he might be a decent manager one day. Maybe murty...

Re: Clement

I really wouldn’t want Roy Keane anywhere near our club. Horrible piece of work. Sorry Seth. That's quite all right Zip. I at no point said i wanted him as our manager I semi jokingly suggested that his statement of wanting to get back into club management at Championship level could be an option f...

Re: Clement

He didn't play again after Keane deliberately ruptured his ACL in a horror tackle. If you want psycho, then Thatcher elbowing Mendes will be up there. AH continued the rest of the game and played mid-week He had to quit playing because of an injury to his left knee...Keane hit his right Fair enough...

Re: Clement

No, Snowflake Royal is correct. You can't be out the game that long, whether you're Roy Keane or not. Was he even that good as a manager? I certainly remember Ipswich being very, very average under him and as previously discussed, that Sunderland side were a cut above anyway without much of his doi...

Re: Clement

But he's not been out of the game has he? He's been actively assisting for the last 5 years. He had a brief spell with villa too. It's not like he's been gardening for 7 years he's been active in football management. The point in large I was making was there's people like Nagelsman and Howe who had...

Re: Clement

I'm not using psycho interchangeably with 'a bit crazy'. I'm using it as in 'has no regard for other's emotions or wellbeing'. Keane is a psycho, Klopp is eccentric. Not only that but he's a psycho who hasn't had a managerial job for seven years. I don't know why people persist in suggesting names ...

Re: Clement

Our survey said X Pep, Mourinho, Klopp, Ranieri, Van Gaal and Ancelotti all seem a bit nuts and are arguably amongst the most successful active managers right now. Simeone aswell. Warnock. Many more. I think most manager are nuts. How did I forget Simeone? He's probably the most nuts of all!

Re: Clement

That suggests that I like Klopp and agree he's a psycho. Not both of those things are true. Oh I'm not fond of Klopp either but he is a fantastic manager. Spin off thread idea: are there more successful managers who are psychos or not? Our survey said X Pep, Mourinho, Klopp, Ranieri, Van Gaal and A...

Re: Clement

I can't imagine he's improved much sitting in a studio. He hasn't had a management job since 2011. I also don't think promotion with that Sunderland side was such a fantastic achievement anyway. Big fat no thanks from me. I want Clement to stay, but if we have to get someone else in they have to be...

Really not convinced by Roy Keane as a manager Neither am I but he might have improved and he has won promotion from thus league which people are often citing as a prerequisite for a future manager. I can't imagine he's improved much sitting in a studio. He hasn't had a management job since 2011. I...

Re: Clement

So, to summarise the previous page, a group of people who spend their work days posting on an Internet forum rather than doing their jobs are moaning about a football player doing something in his spare time? You guys are something else  . Well, that is partly true however we are not paid 30k ...

Does that mean that Dutch football is no longer out of date and been found out?

Maybe we can get Stam back

Think it means were more likely to go for a German manager..

Uwe Rosler seems about right..

Re: Gourlay

We know so little yet complain so much! It’s been said that the Meite deal is very dependent on performances; a 4 year deal could be dependent on 20 appearances per season, 10 goals, adherence to a pitch positioning strategy... who knows! Let’s just remember that everyone who slated Novakovich for ...

Re: Clement

I'm not saying he's a good manager and I'm not saying he's a poor manager, all I'm saying is the last time we appointed a former world class/ex Man Utd player as our manager we came 3rd. Moore and Ilori certainly improved under Stam so maybe if we appointed Keane our CMs would improve. Really not c...
