Re: Stewards - "siiiiit down!!!"

Most stewards these days are agency staff. Advantage is they aren't interested in the football so actually do their job rather than watching the games, disadvantage is there is no continuity or consistency.

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

That corner of the ground is actually quite special.
It got a bit over looked when they opened the Eamon Dolan Stand but that same weekend the club renamed that corner the Gordon Neate Corner and emptied a 50 gallon drum of weedkiller on it as a tribute to the great man.

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

The boards went down overnight, Irish were playing there the day before ! They protect the surface, 10,000 runners pounding direct on the grass would destroy it, spread the load using boards and you will greatly reduce any damage. There haven't been any similar events for a while (Olympic flame even...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

How is that whinging ? It's obvious that renting a stadium for a few hours is not going to make you any money, especially if you are daft enough to spend several seasons playing badly and driving your supporters away ! They need to be able to earn from beer / pie sales, non match day activities etc...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

You are interpreting it as a whinge, whereas it is a simple statement that Irish have made for a long time that it is impossible to run the club competitively under the current arrangement. There are lots of reasons for that and there has been no criticism of RFC over it. They are trying to find way...

Re: BFTG - Wednesday (A)

That being said even by our own standards our support this season has been pretty poor considering our position, both in numbers and vocality. Though I suspect a lot of that is due to the playing style and the fact there is a bit of a knock on effect from the last few seasons of dross. Suspect next...

Re: Anti-Exiles parking policies

I get the impression that the club aren't interested in any logical argument or sensible alternatives, they want to reduce the number of cars parking at the stadium, presumably, in preparation for building on most of the car park. Sadly, the options for parking elsewhere are greatly limited as seve...

Re: Season ticket renewals 17/18

Is there any scope for reducing match day prices ? Hard to square keeping season tickets so cheap, doing special one off deals and cutting match day costs while still affording to buy and pay players !
£20 for a match day ticket is pretty competitive .

Re: Car Park Renewals

Making the road past the maegastore pedestrianised would surely create absolute chaos ! The basic problem as ever is the stadium was built in the wrong place - or rather the A33 was built in the wrong place. If the road went the other side of the ground it would be easy to separate cars and pedestri...

Re: Car Park Renewals

If only they could speed up the REP development this sort of thing would no longer be an issue.... Seriously there will be a reason for this and I suspect it is to do with trying to improve the traffic flow by getting people to arrive a little earlier. I can't believe they would really lock the gate...

Re: Neil (i am C**K)Warnock

I'm confused. Warnock is saying you can only appoint a manager to a Championship club if they have managerial experience of the Championship ? Before Warnock managed in the Championship for the first time how had he got Championship experience ? He can't be suggesting that only people who have playe...

Re: Season ticket renewals 17/18

Adult prices work out at a bit over £13 per game in the ED. Unless the club folds in the summer and the owners run off with our cash that is stunning value even before you factor in any special offers they throw at us during the season. I'd even suggest they are under pricing the tickets, but until ...

Re: Season ticket renewals 17/18

You need to have a word with your cynicism, because all you've serve to do there is turn a very positive gesture from the club into something negative. We are about three weeks earlier than normal, so it's hardly a massive change. Why does the club trying to get more fans in concern you out of inte...

Re: INJURY WATCH : 2016-2017

Not sure whether to be amazed, bemused or amused that both Wieser and Gravenberch have got themselves injured. Some sort of shopping incident ? A tussle over the Xbox controller ? Of course, cos as a professional sportsman their only active time is on a matchday!! Oh. Thanks for that. I'd as...

There it is ladies and gentleman we have another.....its a tinpot - I repeat we have a tinpot!! Worst away venue I've been to. The bus service from rail station to ground and back was an absolute joke - 1000's queuing for 1 bus that turns up every 5-10 minutes. I hope we never have to play this tin...

Re: Did you see any stewards arguing with an elderly man in Y25/Y26 last night?

Contact Jackie Evans at the club.
If the stewards were not aware he has Alzheimer's there could have been all sorts of confusion on both sides.
He'd be seen as a vulnerable person so I have no doubt the club would want to know if there was an issue.
