Re: BFTG - Blackburn

I think that’s Vision speak for “you’re talking absolute bollocks my friend”. There's some pretty valid stuff in the first paragraph, but as usual Vision is right about the tone of the rest being pessimistic and Gomes having limited options. The current good run is largely made by that one win agai...

Re: Loan Player options to buy?

My only concern with Ezatolahi aside from his injuries is that I'm not alone in genuinely believing he could be the answer to some of our midfield woes and it's all on the back of 4 promising cameos in a terminally shit midfield. I'm worried that he's nowhere near as good as we've convinced ourselv...

Re: Loan Player options to buy?

We definitely have an option on Ezatolohai. You’d hope we’dget Some kind of discount given how few games he’s played.
The fact that we haven’t sent him back makes me think this is a Stranded option rather than a Seth option.

Re: The League of 4

Those relative run ins could look very different if you could factor in the form of the teams rather than league position. A team in 7th on a poor run and dropping would be easier than a team in 8th and on a great run for a playoff spot. But of course you could analyse these things for ever and sti...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

Regarding Murray, I think the biggest reason we didn’t sign him despite having one of these magic ‘options’ was that he never looked like he was enjoying his time here and gave the impression he couldn’t wait to get out. I doubt he’d have stayed whatever deal we put to him, he would have gone back ...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

I wasn't suggesting that Martinez is as good as Marcus - I was pointing out that it came as a surprise to many when we managed to get Marcus to join us on a permanent basis. When we offered Marcus a contract he had pretty much decided to quit, go back home to the US and let his wife resurrect her l...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

People are also more than happy to write players off after a handful of games , and managers even before they have taken charge of a single game !

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

Oliveira has a touch of the Kitsons about him. Been warned by a few Nodge fans that he'll soon lose interest and become a hindrance though. Hopefully just bitterness talking. Don't reckon he will lose interest when he's working with Gomes and his team of coaches. In terms of man management I'm incr...

Indeed, if only Oliviera had got that chip right they would have been as well......
Despite us playing poorly for 44 mins Blackburn were hardly looking likely to score a hatful.

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

Hard to understand criticism of regarding pace. Several times last night he got into foot races with one of their forwards (shortish guy) who was pretty rapid. Kept pace with him and looked fairly comfortable.

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

Am I the only one who thought Meite was utter shit and could have cost us the game by missing two sitters and losing his man for the goal? No I posted this and was widely ridiculed. He's just not very good at football and doesn't have even a modicum of natural intution. Did anyone actually expect h...

Re: Berks and Bucks Senior Cup 2018/19

Considering we are probably fielding a third choice u23 side it’s quite impressive we are doing well in this. Are the other teams fielding full strength sides do we know ? Bracknell defnitely did. It isn't that much of a shock tbh, these kids are all proper athletes who get some of the best trainin...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

Thank you. I felt like I was going insane there for a minute. No, I’ll admit to playing a bit of the devil’s advocate ... I’m still not wholly convinced and agree 100% it’s a punt which will probably pay somerimes and not others Still think it all hangs on the player and gives them massive control....

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

It's usually a set price that they have to accept as a bid if it's made. Yes they can accept other offers and no the player doesn't have to go. So we agree a price of £5 million for Oliviera, he scores 10 goals to keep,us up, we ring them up to get their bank details to make payment and not only fi...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

Well you think it’s a ‘smart’ system, so we probably disagree there ! I don’t know if you are right or wrong and unless we get sight of the contracts I guess we can’t be sure. I think the system you have explained is somewhat pointless and you’ve not really highlighted any benefits for the potentia...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

Ok this is going around in circles. The "option" we have on the loan is most likely a fixed price agreement. Norwich have negotiated with us a fair price that, upon completion of his loan, we (if we want to) can offer. This price is agreed. Norwich have to accept it as technically they ha...
