Re: Team for Bolton (h)

I think Rimonhota has filled in at full back a bit but he’s a central midfielder and couldn’t see him playing on the wing. A real wild card choice would be to through Josh Barrett in, but he’d probably last about 20 minutes and we’d probably be better off wheeling McLeary out in a chair. Sad that th...

Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

I find that news mote worrying tbh. Either we'll have upped his almost certainly already rather high wages, or we'll have inserted a release clause for a certain fee / level of team performance. Or both. We're not exactly rolling in money so chucking more at him seems a poor choice. And the owners ...

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

how about if the new contract has no release clause in it until 1st June 2019 ? we've given Moore a pay rise, he's committed to stay for the season. If the world goes crazy and we get promoted he'll stay and play for us in the Prem, if we don't get promoted we'll take £10 million for him, but he's i...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Unpleasant and mildly disappointing win over an ill-disciplined Millwall. Loader and Fanyani scored early on but we conceded a soft goal on half time. In the second half there was a really ugly brawl in front us (East stand) and the ref may have been a touch lenient in sending off one from each sid...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

We won 2-1.
Holsgrove missed a pen
2 red cards (one per team) and a massive pushing and shoving match early in the second half which frankly was a disgrace to both clubs.

Re: Injury watch 2017-18 season

Don’t think any player who has been put for a year can be in anyone’s plans. Will need to get back into training and play 6 or 7 u23 games before he’ll be on the radar properly. His aim will be to be part of the squad for preseason. If we don’t go up Gunter may be tempted to grab a chance in the lo...

Re: Injury watch 2017-18 season

We’ve often given a player an extra 12 months contract if they have had a bad injury, would be disappointed if we don’t offer him this. He can then try and force his way into Jaap’s plans.

Re: Postponement tomorrow?

i've decided to sack off the football this evening. i shall be staying in, with the log fire burning away and a bottle of ardmore on the go. Good decision, although your game is tomorrow and I really can’t see you making the trip,to Huddersfield anyway..... Ardmore ? Is that one of the Scottish spa...

Seems like a Watson is a couple of weeks away from being fit, do wonder how he fits Stam’s plans consider he’s been out for so long Don’t think any player who has been put for a year can be in anyone’s plans. Re: Why doesn't the MadStad host concerts and music events?

If you thought the Elton John gig was excellent I can only assume you have exceedingly low standards ! He may as well have walked on stage , stuck a Greatest Hits cd on and then sat in an armchair and nodded along to them. My fault for wasting money on a ticket but he has got a decent back catalogue...

The trains are running so the team can get here.
The fans can stay at home and watch on TV.
They woukdn’t call off a televised game because a few away fans coyidn’t travel would they ? Especially if the pitch and local area was absolutely fine ....

Re: Postponement tomorrow?

They will have gritters on the roads round the stadium and all the surrounds. If somehow there was ice on the steps inside the ground that might be tricky but they’ve dealt with this sort of problem before.

I was at every game Friday played, I was in the showers when he violated Lawro’s kit bag, I spent a week with him In Weston Super Mare trying to persuade him not to join Cardiff, from my time as a police officer I still have the lipstick from THAT kiss and was happy to lead the applause for that ama...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Aaron was injured whilst on trial at Aldershot (TCL) . Won't be back until well into New Year. He's not really played for 2 + years now. Unfortunately can't see him playing pro football again. Pity because in the Academy was a standout player in his year group Unfortunately being a standout player ...

Re: Who will make it and who won't?h

With Omar Richards recently signing a new deal after his impressive performance and the U23s on the upturn after a change of manager, who will make the step from the academy to be a valuable asset in the first team? Players like Richards, Barrett, Rinomhota and Watson are almost certain to make it,...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Doubt any of those first Teamers will be started Monday then Bit of a disappointing performance in many ways, although Bayern were very good and losing to what should be the cream of young German talent. In the first half especially Bayern played at pace and pressed us very hard and we simply could...
