Re: BFTG Millwall

I saw someone on twitter thanking Reading buses for putting an earlier bus on back to town as they said it was boring. The Gillingham game was desperately boring in the previous round except for Kelly's cracker. Neither game was boring though. I was at the Gills game - it was a bore fest. Can't com...

Just reading elsewhere that someone thought this a boring game. You have to be kidding me. no doubt it was boring on the radio.. Re: IsStam getting unsettled?

The bit about us struggling to retain and recruit players is bizarre. To lose just 2 players after a playoff defeat when one was out of contract is quite amazing really and we're one player short of a good summer of buying., You can understand Stam being a little frustrated but you can see reasons w...

Re: Rumour - Tomer Hemed

There's just nothing about Carroll which makes this a good idea.
Wrong player, wrong personality, wrong timing, wrong costs.
There is no point signing a non match fit player as short term cover for players out injured for a few weeks !

Re: BFTG Millwall

Have to really object / disagree with Bobby on several things. 1. Thought Jakkola was very comfortable with the ball at his feet, never saw him in any difficulties but he was helped by the fact that the players in front played very intelligently. Only criticism was that a couple of times he had the ...

Re: EFL Cup third-round draw will take place in Beijing at 04:15 BST on Thursday

Nextdrawisjust straightforward isn't it ? No seeding, no regiolisation, no clubs requesting away draws. Agree that where and when the draw is made makes no odds. It'll be on a website when we wake up. Having the FA cup draw on TV at 5 pm on Saturday after each round is a tradition that should not be...

Re: Jaap Stam Had a Dream

And of course Jaap spent largish sums last season anyway, and he didn't sign McShane or Rakells.
So it's a FakeSong really.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

What is the Paul McGrath song and what was our take on it? Still is shit. Paul McShane My Lord Terry's shit My Lord And of course they sang Empty Seats My Lord at the start, and we sang it back when they all started leaving. Best interaction with away fans I can remember for a while, as it was actu...

I stood up,on 26 minutes and applauded, I assume he left the pitch at that point ?

Anyone else pay a tenner to pose with him and the Championship trophy in the hotel after the game ?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (h) sponsored by Leandro Bacuna

Amazed on Radio Berks that when the team was announced Adie Williams was declaring that John terry would love our line up and he would have an easy game. Williams thought we should have a big striker up front to battle it out with Terry. Took Mick Gooding to suggest that actually Terry would be happ...

Re: RUMOUR - Shane Long (lol)

I don't think we replaced Dteve Head when he left did we ?
I assume Tevrenden is effectively in charge of the scouting set up,

Quick google shows we had a guy called Tony Spearing for a bit who was replaced by Dean Corre. Either have made an impact on my consciousness, but then why should they !

Re: RUMOUR - Shane Long (lol)

Some Burnley fan who is supposedly ITK on that there Twitter, thinks it is between us and them for Long. Supposedly agreed terms with Burnley but wants to speak to us as we have shown interest due to strong family ties and would like to come back if possible. Obviously complete bollocks you would t...

If the OP is upset at the fairly limited security at the last couple of games I dread to think how he would have reacted to the armed police patrolling the ground in full body armour at the last London Irish game....

Re: CheLOLsea

Presumably 5Live have just run a spoof interview with Conte. Discussed transfers and he was asked how other clubs can compete with the limitless budget of PSG. Conte declared it was tough and implied that PSG's approach to the game (throwing huge sums around) was unethical. Remind me. is Conte manag...

Re: BFTG - Fulham

We now have a decent squad, a decent “YOUNG” manager who will hopefully add and attract quality to the squad but for god sake, if things are not going our way (like now) then we will need to stand up as supporters and shout loudest. Loudest to what we want for our team, what we want for our town cl...
