Re: BFTG - Preston

I've not been able to go to matches for a while so haven't seen Reading play for a while but just curious if everyone agrees that Aluko is a waste of space or are there those who disagree but keep quiet on here? I just find it strange that everyone is so negative about him yet the manager obviously...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by the season starts here

I`m surprised they count blocked shots in those stats too, saw it in the paper this morning, had 5 blocked, it wasn`t plus it was included . 8 off target 10 on target, agree thats alot. In a number of games we seemto have conceded a lot of shots however we have actually been defending reasonably we...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by the season starts here

Even though I predicted a win and was thrilled to see us win let's not forget that we conceded 23 shots, 10 on target plus five blocks and, I believe, hitting a post doesn't count as on target. That is a scary number of chances to concede. There is still a radical fault in the team I`m surprised th...

Re: Friends and family midweek tickets.

You can definitely do it, I bought several cheap tickets for the Norwich game. Quite superb that you can get tickets so cheaply for our games.

The bloke has to be on borrowed time. I have no issues with the owners and don’t think any fans should, we could have owners that pick the team etc but we don’t, they’ve invested (record signing, summer 2017, Moore situ where they could have cashed in) and let the football side get on with it. I wi...

"A lot of things need addressing from software in the ticket office to GDPR"..... Well that's a big relief, it was my #1 concern... No mention of brexit though..... If only they’d had some warnings about GDPR... It’s been the law since 25 May, basically he’s publicly admitted that they ar...

Do these ‘options’ really exist ?
Presumably they fall down if the player involved decides he doesn’t want to move after all, or do they effectively tie the player into the deal as well as the selling club ?

Does that include lobbing lobster around at the reception followed by a mass brawl with your mates and the in-laws before the Bizzies are called?

I think it’s an option he can provide on request....

Re: Some Iranian guy who I can’t be bothered to spell the name of

Out of interest is he actually contracted to Rostov or not as Wiki both says he signed a 4 year deal with them in 2015 and then that his contract with them finished at the end of 2016. Given that he’s been shipped out on loan to other sides I presume he is contracted to them until 2019 I note also ...

Re: Some Iranian guy who I can’t be bothered to spell the name of

Presumably he'll be away with Iran over the break. Unless Clement has come over all Tommy Burns I'd imagine he'll want him at Hogwood for a couple of weeks to learn something about the rest of the team. Perhaps he’s been at Hogwood for a couple of weeks already ? He’s not been involved in Russia th...

Re: Some Iranian guy who I can’t be bothered to spell the name of

He's a full international and played well against Spain and Portugal this summer. Doing him a bit of a disservice to say he will take that long imo. Predict he will start against Preston after the international break. Presumably he'll be away with Iran over the break. Unless Clement has come over a...

Re: Some Iranian guy who I can’t be bothered to spell the name of

Good to see we're still committed to trimming the squad I’d happily see Popa, Clement, Edwards, Jaakola and a few of the u23s out of the door today. Doubt it will happen though Of the u23 I’d like to see Tyler Frost get a decent loan spell. Ideally another of the centre backs would go and get a sol...

Marcus Hahnemann has a truck repair business in Seattle and is lead singer in a death metal band that has had some success in the States recently.

Danny Guthrie runs a wedding planning business in the north east.

Hope Akpan has given up.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

There’s has never been a season when we couldn’t have named a entire back 4 of Academy players, of course ! I think the current options aren’t the strongest set for a long time with the youngsters adding to several already with a decent number of first team games under their belt. But then we though...
