Re: Season ticket info

I hear Delboy has got a striker lined up for the club.
Worth 200 points apparantly.
Arriving in September, which is unacceptable....

Is 10 million today any more insane than 400kwas for Steve Moran all those years ago ?

Can confirm this as a definite possibility. Had it confirmed by a person who often has news on transfers.
Exciting times.

Re: Transfer fees out of control

I think there have been pl nth of surveys showing that most football fans care more about their club side than the national team. I know I am one of them. For a variety of reasons , some pitch based, some not, lots of people just aren't interested in the national side any more. Oddly the enough act ...

Desperation oozing out of Brian at the moment.

He's out of his depth at the moment. Signing frees and cheepies from Europe is his level and it shows.

If only he'd got hold of Liam Moore last summer, or Illori from Liverpool in January !

Bit of an upgrade on the hotel, but worried about the Mad Stad microclimate if there is that much snow at the moment. It's a bit grey in Earley but no snow at all here...

Why state that Teverenden has only sold Tish ?
In the last few days we sold Samuel and last summer we sold Norwood......

Agree it's a pointless question though. Like asking who have been the better owners, the Thai's or the Chinese.....

Happy to be corrected, but this is my list as of today: http://i63.tinypic.com/11ug5jl.jpg I am biased but I still think our first ever loanee turned out to be our best. Although respect to our 103rd. Come on Strap, you've only done half the job ! You are supposed to supply a witty and informative ...

Re: Matchwatch : Sparta Rotterdam (10am) & Cercle Brugge (midday)

I'd think Loader playing so much was down to Kingsley not being on tour and therefore we were short of any other options up front ! Quinn having restricted time might have been down to his having been out injured for a year and needing to be managed back carefully, coming on as a sub suggests he has...

Re: Matchwatch : Sparta Rotterdam (10am) & Cercle Brugge (midday)

Slightly worried by our pre season games playing reserve Dutch & Belgian sides - how good a dress rehearsal is this for QPR/Fulham/Villa? Perfect for QPR. We never play other Championship clubs preseason (oh, other than QPR twice this year !) so preseason games are never really a 'dress rehears...

Re: Should club offer free away coaches ever game?

A lot of fans who go away go to have a beer and something to eat and a look around etc - something you cannot do if you go by coach - unless they've changed it. Not been on a supporters coach for 30 years Travelling by coach doesn't prevent you from having a beer once you are there. You can't drink...

Re: Season ticket info

The chips in the cards probably have a limited life. As most ST are renewals they may know that say 75% of the cards are nearing end of life.
Rather than waiting for large numbers of people to find their tickets don't work on matchday it makes sense to issue new ones.

Re: Should club offer free away coaches ever game?

You can't run coaches allowing people to just turn up on spec Bobby. I don't think there is any real reason why the club should offer free travel to a subsection of fans. A much better idea would be to do what the did with the Man U tickets and subsidise the cost to ensure we only paid £20. Would me...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Meh, it's some outfits for some men to run around in. I occasionally get one for that purpose myself. I don't think I'll make a purchase this time. My world is unaltered by happiness or sadness. My thoughts as well. Utterly disinterested in the annual tinkering with the kit and cannot understand th...

Re: Depth Chart

Quinn can also play at full back in an emergency. Judging how deep you need to go with specialists is tricky, someone who 'can do a job' is fine for a couple of games but it's fair to think about what happens if Gunts breaks his leg in the first game after the window shuts. In terms of priority I th...

Re: Depth Chart

Bit of a lack of depth at Fullback. If Obita / Gunter get injured I suppose Watson could come in RB but what about LB? Why the 'suppose' about Watson ? Perfectly good option. At left back we could always use the guy who played there half of last season..... A third option for either position would ...

I think it's likely to be our standard formation and I'm not sure McShane will be starting unless Ilori can play on the left.

And obviously the fans who currently stand without barriers are not safer than people standing with barriers.
They are also not safer than people who sit down, which is the easily available, low cost, legal, practical option currently.....

Axel's younger brother Jokull is a goalkeeper on our books. Joined at the same time.

Thanks, didn't know that !
