Re: Players you'd like us to sign thread

Apparently Boro are willing to let Jordan Rhodes go out on loan.

Proven championship striker, would very much like to see him here helping us *dare I say* go for a promotion push.

Plus it won't break the bank doing it, love the Reading way, it's worked so far this season.

Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side.....

And I've spent so many nights,
Thinking how you did me wrong,
And I grew strong

Re: Reading FC - this is embarrasing

When I first heard about the song I was horrified, but when I actually heard it for the first time, it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be, that's not me saying it was good though. However, the reaction from other football club fans has made me really stubborn and I think I do like it now...

Re: Nick Blackman

7 in 7 now! Whatever my previous misgivings of him were, he is on fire and fair do's to him.

7 in 7 is the best goal run I know of off the top of my head. Does anyone know of a better run from a Reading player?

Same line up as Friday, however use the formation from the second half.

Have Tish just in front of the back four and Quinn on the left.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2014/15

Agreed, excellent win for the U21's. Top of the U21's premier league. We have Tish currently starting for the first team, Fosu waiting in the wings (no pun intended), Kuhl out on loan, Tanner doing OK at Plymouth. We are starting to produce more and more players with exceptional potential, it is ver...

Re: Multi-Faith Prayer Area

Do they work in airports though ? Any evidence that prayers reach the correct deity or do wires get crossed and a bemused Allah receives messages intended for Bhudda or Jesus has to fathom out how to respond to desperate Hindus ? Don't worry about that, there are religious switch boards to make sur...

Re: Matej Vydra Video

Great little video thank you for sharing.

What a striker we have on our books for the season!!!

So excited to have Vydra here, literally can not wait to see him play in hoops. Real shame that we have to have internationals so early in the season, just want to see our boys crack on.

Re: HRK / Gunter / Wales

Is it a coincidence that HRK is starting to play out of his skin You think we're watching Kanu playing out of his skin? Sheee-ite, how low is the bar set for this guy? No I don't think he is, I think he is, starting to, it is unquestionable that he was great at Brentford. The bar is low, very very ...

Re: HRK / Gunter / Wales

This has to be the first time Reading have had 2 players, as regular starters in a world top 10 team. Including having a striker in the starting 11 of a world top 10, in HRK?   Is it a coincidence that HRK is starting to play out of his skin, in the final year of his co...

Re: Stadium name to be change to highest bidder

Is there a brand out there that would encourage you to attend more matches? Is there a brand out there that would discourage you from attending in the future? Either way, interested in your thoughts There is a company in Turkey that make nappies called "Pedo". The Pedo Stadium would disco...

@charles_watts: Vydra is the one to watch today. It's been bubbling. All dependant on what Watford do elsewhere. #readingfc  :o  :) :D  Don't fcuk with my emotions. I'm a Reading fan, deadline day is not suppose to be exciting, it is suppose to be bitterly dissapointing, unev...

Re: Rumour - Nathaniel Chalobah

Good player, could possibly become a great defensive midfielder and I would have been happy to see him in hoops again, but I am much happier to see him go elsewhere and for us to play our own players. Norwood, Quinn and Williams have been superb so far and with Fernandez, Tshibola and maybe Kuhl as ...

Re: CONFIMRED - Pog gone to Dynamo Moscow

Despite the lack of goals I have liked having the Pog at Reading, his effort was always unquestionable. Ever since his first day when Sean Morrisson started tweeting Chuck Norrisism's about him, when he saw how big that BFR was. "When the Pog does push ups, he doesn't push himself up, he pushes...

Re: Reading's best ever left-back?

P!ssed Off We've been incredibly lucky with left backs this century.

1. Shorey
2. Bertrand.
3. Armstrong
4. Harte
5. Obita

for me.

How on earth can Bridge come into the reckoning. He only played 12 times!

^
This for me.

Unfortunately I cannot comment much pre 2000/2001, any decent left backs pre Mad Stad?

Re: CONFIMRED - Pog gone to Dynamo Moscow

Wow, this came out of nowhere, Good luck to him. Always really liked Pog. I don't hold him accountable for not being as good as we wanted him to be and basing that opinion on his high wages, was never his fault he was being paid so much. We all would have done the same thing and taken the cash. His ...

Re: The countdown to Ian Harte scoring 10+ league goals

Retired today - absolute class act for us, just seen on Wikipedia he notched 15 league goals in 88 league games for us, 1 in 6....a better record than most of our current strikers have. Brilliant servant to us in the twilight of his career http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/About/General/...

Still early days yet, but if this pair stay fit and suspension-free, they could be the best pairing since Sonko and Ingimarsson. +1 I said the same thing on the MK Dons BFTG thread. McShane is just fantastic and already one of my favourite CB's we have ever had at Reading and Ferdinand, although no...

Re: CONFIMRED - Paolo Hurtado

I'm expecting him to skin the whole defence and set up or score a goal every time he receives the ball. Anything less and he will be on the receiving end of some much needed motivational booing. Likewise Fernandez if he proves incapable of pinging 40yds passes onto the toes of his team mates or pla...
