Re: Gourlay

Ron Gourlay needs to go and maybe take Clement with him. Under Gourlay we’ve lost more games than I care to remember, spent more money on signings and contract extensions than I’ve ever witnessed while the sole of our club is sucked out from within. Our fanbase reduced and battered and the club’s id...

Re: Tevreden Out, Nani In

Why can he not write in the same tone? Charles Watts would write reasonably provocatively when he reported on Reading so what is stopping Jonathan Low? How has he not tapped in to Watts' relationship with Tevreden? It is baffling. Not sure making excuses for his lack of journalistic nous is intelli...

Re: Tevreden Out, Nani In

It is sad and hilarious in equal measures. Best bit is he doesn't give the scoop to his mate Jonathan but chooses to rise like a phoenix and deliver Reading FC news himself. I love that. Low can hardly write in the same tone as Charles Watts about RG. He has a job to do and is in and out of the clu...

Re: Tevreden Out, Nani In

Wouldn’t be massively suprised to see him back at Reading as CEO one day. Owners obvs like him and maybe Roselare is experience for Gourlay’s replacement when the time comes Owners obviously want him to see out his contract and then say goodbye more like it. Nice guy or not, he’s been no masterstro...

Thanks for sharing. Each snippet of information makes a lot of sense in filling in the gaps as to why the club is in free fall.

Re: Do we really have billionaire owners?

A business loosing £39million over a 2 and a bit year period whilst paying a yearly wage bill of £28million to go backwards and still fans want to see more spending and if not, then question the integrity of our owners. £39million loss…gone/down the pan. Now say it out loud, “£39million down”. Most ...

Re: Clement OUT!!!!

+1 It’s a huge job. And at this point in time have no desire to see some other similar level manager come in and try to start again I don't believe for a second he is a massive upgrade on Stam. If he was given the opportunity to continue as manager even with relegation (as you're proposing for Clem...

Re: Clement OUT!!!!

Clement is an adequate manager at this level and adequate for a club like ours. If we stick with him and allow him to build a team over the next few seasons, even if we drop down a division it will be the correct thing to do. There’s no quick fix that hasn’t been tried already. He needs to ship play...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h) sponsored by a new hope

No way should we have lost that game. But oh, what’s the point? We need another striker, another central defender and another creative midfielder. Other than that, we were oxf*rd brilliant ... oh and let's throw in a new goalie as well!

Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

If there was already a £10m bid in for the player which hadn't been withdrawn, then yes, quite easily sorted out. It's possible that the whole thing is some sort of put-up job. But very unlikely. Zero reason why Moore would go along with it. Why on earth should he? Given he pushed through his trans...

Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

And you know this how? Do you honestly think that a £10M deal for a player who handed a request in on Friday can be negotiated within a few days? Liam Moore to Brighton will be announced on Tuesday. Get real and stop believing the spin the club (a Ltd Company) stage to it’s fanbase when they stand ...

Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

absolutely agree Hound, good business if we get a Creative Mid and a CB as a result… but it drives me mad when posters think Moore put in a transfer request in when in truth, it was staged by the people who claim to run this club to keep the fans in their cage! Why can’t they just be honest with th...

Clement has my backing 100%. It'll take a season and a half but if we stick with him we'll go up.

Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

You may be right and fair enough If so. Little bit suprised he played such and active role in Austria though if that was the case He was/is still our player under contract so no reason at the early stages of proper negotiations to crumble and hold Moore back from Austria which would give Brighton t...

Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

I keep reading posts here and other threads saying, “if Moore goes” and “if we can keep Moore”. The deal to sell Moore was advanced soon after Brighton made the 3rd bid for £8m+2m. Since then both clubs went deathly silent with no media coverage, not a word. Both busy thrashing things out between th...
