Re: Who goes in January?

Didn't Gomes say yesterday that we may have to give players away to get them off the wage bill (meyler, baldock spring to mind)

Re: CONFIMRED - Nelson Oliveira

Just hoping Miazga does a Liam Moore and decides he needs regular football and make a home for himself. If he buys into the Gomes vision it would be a possibility. Anyone know how long left he has on his Chelsea contract?

Re: The Local Journo Thread

TTE pods are always better when there’s three rather than 2 hosts imo. Would like Wimb on more regularly as well as Westie and Handbags. Perhaps a few guests / occasional presenters as well. I agree, 3 adds a better dynamic. Handbags has supernatural talents when it comes to his memory of matches. ...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Three centre backs? Or will one of them play in midfield.

Updates appreciated as couldn’t make it back tonight

Re: Rival Watch

Steve McClaren sacked as QPR manager after 1 win in 15 per BBC Sport. Stam-esque performance. Not sure if that's good or bad for us. QPR have been utter toilet giving away points to our relegation rivals Bit like Birmingham. Would prefer they both take all points against the likes of Rotherham and ...

Re: BFTG - PNE

Really enjoyed that yesterday. Swift’s turn and pass for the goal was excellent. Mia zag was my MOTM - absolute rock at the back. Good to have Rinomhota back but he was blowing hard from about 40 minutes. If you watched him closely in the second half he did very little of his usual pressing but was ...

Hard to judge him, he spent too much time on the floor feigning injury.

Very true. He went down very easily when in possession but clattered into our players every time we had the ball

I’d love to see him here next year. Proper shithouse and will only get better. Didn’t think his set pieces were up to much but as a DM - very good

Him and Rino at the base of the midfield. Ooeerr!

Re: Bftg- Wigan (h)

Terrible ref. Should have given their number three a second yellow and sent him off. Instead gave the card to the number 17 who happened to be near the foul but didn't commit it. Their number three just shrugged his shoulders and jogged off. That's one reason why it was such a sweet victory. That’s...

Re: Gomez tactics may still take us down

I was working backwards from now and therefore the first goal I came to was the throw out  Didn't think there was too much wrong with what Ejaria was doing, other than he lost the ball !!! If you watched the build up to their first goal, the initial error came from Baker player a very low per...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Wasn’t Pompey’s problem that there were several different owners of bits of land. The ground was owned by one person but the car parl by a different person which meant redeveloping the ground was impossible as the car park was needed for the expansion. I thought the playing element of RFC and the g...

Re: Gomez tactics may still take us down

Their first goal came from a poor throw from the keeper trying to set up an attack, not from short passing. Their second came after we were robbed of the ball dribbling across the centre circle (arguably illegally) Wrong way around. And if you can't take the risk of trying to play football in the c...

Re: Financial Fair Play

All the time the Chinese are the owners of both companies then no real issue. A bit of moving the deck chairs around. In essence the rent repays the investment of £27m into the club last season over a 20 year period. If they decide to sell the club, it will then be interesting to see whether a new o...
