Re: BFTG - Wednesday (A)

It's a fair point on the geography of the teams in the division. 15 of the teams are Birmingham or more northern and you have Ipswich and Norwich which are miles away Inevitably a number of these away games have been away in midweek and the logistics of getting there and back obv affect the number ...

Re: Car Park Renewals

IT would be funny if those who are denied access afte 2.30pm just abandoned their cars on the two approach roads and stopped all bus movements as well. I'd be incredibly annoyed if i had paid for a season permit and got turned away. Where else do you park now that Green Park is off limits and the HP...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Wasn't at the game but they clearly haven't watched us much. We are always slow and ponderous, it isn't time waiting. Gunter has taken one quick throw in in 5 seasons with us :D

Re: Record Watch 2016-17

IMO the quality of the league has reduced. More teams come to the Madejski now and just look for a point or score on the break than I remember in the past. You could say they are better tactically but I think it shows shortcomings in the opposition that they are happy to sit deep and take a point ra...

Re: Liam Kelly called up for Ireland's senior squad

squad reads like a who's who of the Championship, with a couple of Premier League players thrown in Can't argue with that. Similar in a lot of ways to maybe ICELAND....  If they were French, Spanish, Italian or African names then a lot of them probably would be in the Premier League. N...

Re: BFTG Newcastle (H)

I'm increasingly liking Blackett. Agree with Ollie K - his defensive work is ahead of Obita's and Gunter could learn a few lessons too about closing down the space and getting tight to the attacker, being aggressive in the challenge. He does still have lapses in concentration and plays a few too man...

Re: Season ticket renewals 17/18

Hmm, the cynic in me immediately thought cash flow issues as it is very early to be doing renewals. And the price reduction just increases that concern for me as they are trying to get as many people to commit as soon as possible with excellent pricing (especially as my ticket in the ED went down l...

Re: BFTG Newcastle (H)

Joey was great tonight. Just what we needed, and I do think he looks better when Macca is in the team. Between them for MOTM. We didn't miss Moore after he hobbled off and can see us going back to the 3 centre backs on Saturday with Joey in there with Macca and Blackett. Kelly was truly dire tonight...

just seen the highlights. First booking was a bit harsh. A foul, yes; a booking- not for me. Entitled to go for the ball. Second booking was stupid to pick up. Just no need to make that tackle.

Re: Roy Beerens - Unsung?

Does he have a song yet? The foolish old football philistine behind me has one that he keeps going throughout games - something along the lines of: 'Get stuck in Beerens... Beerens you bottled it again... Beerens put some effort in... Beerens you're useless!"  catchy. Just tryi...
