Re: RUMOUR - Paul Smyth

Linfield have warned Reading and Queens Park Rangers that winger Paul Smyth will only move on if their valuation is met. The Northern Ireland Premiership champions are happy to let the teenager progress to a higher level, but so far no club has offered what they feel is a fair amount of compensatio...

Re: Back From The Match - Preston

So is it down to the lack of a striker or is it down to a lack of creativity amongst those getting into forward positions - after all if you're not really creating anything then having a Jimmy Greaves in his prime isn't going to make the slightest difference

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by the first long trek of the season

Same old story, never in it after conceding first

Zero threat throughout - but on the upside it's better than losing 3-0 so there is some improvement on 5 months ago

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by the first long trek of the season

Perhaps Stam is trying to prove a point to the Chinese about needing to get a striker by playing Clement as if he was leading the line

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by the first long trek of the season

Bacuna struggling to fit in by the sound of things which is to be expected Away form generally is poor and should really be better but at the end of the day we had 4 points from these 4 fixtures last season and that looks to be exactly what we've got out of them this season so I guess you could say ...

Re: The Stam passing game

Sorry to say that I find it appallingly dull and unentertaining. Seems the game plan is to win by one goal somehow (as if you get more points for that  ). But it appears to get results - at the moment - and you can't argue with that as that is what playing games is all about at the end of the ...

Literally know 3 Irish Smith families and 2 White families (Yes there's a joke there. Move on.) And have never met one spelled with a y. Shows the danger of using anecdotal evidence! Have never met an Irish "White". and the only Irish "Smith" I know is a Nordie who doesn't regar...

Re: Rumour: Sone Aluko

Stam said last night that he's still looking to bring in a striker, a defender and another midfielder. What actually happens of course may bear no resemblance to that and no doubt Reading will still be waiting for a striker going into the last day of the transfer window. Personally can't see any poi...

Just noted that the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup will allow qualifying Hellenic clubs to play in it this season. Is that all Hellenic clubs or just the Premier division sides. I presume that it's actually all qualifying clubs at step 5 not just Hellenic?

Re: CONFIMRED - Leandro Bacuna

Coaching wise Bacuna is native Dutch speaker, now if only Reading could get a Dutch coach in....

Therefore there should be no excuse for any shenanigans or non improvement.
