If it means in 2 years' time we're 7th in the Premier League, why not?

2 years? Where's your ambition, why not 1 year?

Re: New Manager

Jose Manuel Gomes now odds on with PP and Betfair. Wtf is going on?! 9/1 with SkyBet This maybe happening and Rio Ave’s José Manuel Martins Teixeira Gomes will indeed be the next manager. The Mirror are going as far as saying talks have been held https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/r...

Re: New Manager

Like it or not Parky might well be the perfect manager for Reading in their current situation and if he doesn’t keep the club up then is there anyone else with a better fit for understanding the lower divisions and getting promotion out of them? If nothing else he should instil fight into performan...

Gave away too many corners, which they live off with their size. Gunter needlessly gave away the last one under no pressure...and then slowly walked back with his head down rather than gee'ing everyone up. Drama queen that he is, was hoping he wouldn't decide to 'have a moment'. No surprise when th...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Ilori has a muscle injury, not thought to be serious (so probably only 6 months then).

Meite is very close to a return.

Sims booked at Rotherham.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (a) sponsored by Dick Habbin

The plan for the rest of the season has to be 4 points from each block of 3 games. A point from Rotherham means a win from Middlesbrough or Millwall will be good progress. By the end of this season I think relegation will be any 3 from Reading, Ipswich, Bolton, Millwall, Rotherham, Brentford and Wig...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (a) sponsored by Dick Habbin

Baldock has apparently missed a sitter and Swift and McCleary should have done better with chances they had.

And as we know second half tend to be an issue for areafing, especially the first 15/20 minutes of them.

Let’s hope thoses don’t come back to haunt.

So that’s all FOUR senior centre backs now out injured. Farcical.

Sims starting, Barrow not starting. Two right wingers playing. Farcical.

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Callum Harriott confirming hes injury free and fit this morning on Twitter. Would be surprised if he we see him play in the first team again. Also met Obita a few weeks ago and asked when he's expected back. His reply 'I'm working really hard and trying to get fit' didnt seem to positive that it wo...

Re: New Manager

So far

Castro said no

Parky may well be nothing more than speculation

Jokanovic does not appear to even have been considered

Press still linking Pards and Bruce to the vacant position

And the Vitor Pereira rumour just worries me

So it’s going to be Gareth Ainsworth.

Or another one of the above.

Re: New Manager

Odds for Slavisa Jokanovic fascinates me because at 20/1 seems an outsider but that is exactly who we should be going for. Excellent track record, rescued teams, promoted teams, knows the league, exciting football and is available. Its a no brainer. Reading FC - what are you doing? Get this done an...
