Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a) sponsored by things can only get better

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a) sponsored by things can only get better

some quotes from the Forest Forum: As I seem to say every game now, it would be nice for us to really go for a win from the start. I don’t mean play reservedly and feel our way into the game before conceding the inevitable sloppy goal out of nothing. I mean push up, get full backs forward and get s...

Re: The Non - League thread

Planning on doing one of the Vase ties this weekend as well. Either going to Melksham or Bracknell. Bracknell will be the better game I think, but its not a 'tick'. What is the capacity at Bracknell? Cant be much more than 1500 surely there is very little room around the pitch? Might be an old fash...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a) sponsored by things can only get better

Forest had Lichaj sent off for a quite appalling challenge at Burton which left Forest fans disgusted with him. Hero v Arsenal to Zero v Burton in a month apparently.

Ashkan Dejagah will also be missing after picking up an injury in training late last week.

Re: The Non - League thread

Thatcham 2-2 Windsor Not a bad game on a somewhat difficult surface. With the big FA Vase games coming up next weekend both teams rested a few. Windsor took the lead twice but both times that only lasted 2 minutes. Hard fought game, decent crowd, quite a few Reading badges on view. How many giving ...

Rumour also has it that a game of pass the parcel had to be abandoned after the players became confused.

Re: Goal Drought At Home In The League

Our last home league goal was nearly the best part of 4 matches ago. Mo Barrow's goal in the 76th minute vs Burton Albion was the last one. So more or less 5 hours of football without a goal. How depressing, must be approaching a club record surely? There's a good chance we won't score vs Derby or ...

Re: The fans alternative course of action.

It is a two way thing though. The players have got to try and engender some excitement during the game. No shots on goal in the first half of our last home game isn’t going to bring that. This. You need something on the pitch to get things going. With this drab cr@ppy style basically nothing happen...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

sounds a bit shitty, but a clear breach. Considering we were clearly so much better than CU as well. Oh well, we'd prob been thrashed by Arsenal anyway. Shame though. Yet apparently Southend did the same thing a couple of years ago and weren't thrown out. Typical FA farce. Oh well, they'd probably ...

Re: The drummer

Does it have to be a drummer. Accordion player anyone (or more likely a concertina as it's Reading) ? Bagpipes? What about a keyboard player? What about some light jazz whenever we get a corner? Lincoln still do the old air raid siren for that but then that might wake up the few fans that do go to ...

Re: First team jetting off to Spain for intensive training

And trying to arrange a four ball or three ball permutation on the golf course would require major management skills so I suspect they ended up playing on their own. Gunter was seen caddying and pointing to where the players should be hitting the ball. I hear they started at the flag and hit the ba...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Southwood is having a very good spell at Bath (most clean sheets of any goalkeeper in the division), Ward is doing well at Aldershot, Barrett is barely playing at Coventry. Aside from those three and Novakovich, none of our other loanees matter. Unless I've forgotten someone. Cov fans are saying he...

Who is Graham Potter? Sounds like your elderly neighbour who does a 2 hour shift in the local Co-Op every Tuesday and Thursday just to get out and about. He has a lovely little garden that he is very proud of. He was married to Betty for 52 years but she died last year and he is coping well with th...

This is the same Graham Potter who racked up a whopping 4 appearances on loan from WBA to Reading in 1999.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

So, are any of our loanees lighting it up anywhere and getting rave reviews this season? (Shamefully, I haven't really kept track of them this season :? ) Novakovich was doing well at Telstar when JLow did a round up just before xmas As above Bond is doing OK at Peterborough (and I bet will move th...
