Re: 2014/15 fixtures

Probably going to get a shitty capital one cup 1st round clash against Carlisle away when the Cup fixtures are released

Re: Rumour - Le Fondre To West Brom or....

:x Not particularly surprising, and if we can get in the right replacement it'd probably a good squad move. But for a team that doesn't make many chances, it's near suicide to sell your best goalscorer. Especially when you've got no money to replace them. Oh yay, we can have Pog lumbering about cos...

Re: Buyout

I doubt Madejski will sellout to a guy who knows little about football and wants to be to intervening. AZ was knowledgeable about the game and looked like the ideal owner at the time, so I still trust Madejski's judgement

Re: Obita to Liverpool

YateleyRoyal Isn't this just like the 'Alex Pearce to Liverpool' rumour of last year?

Yeah, but Jordan Obita actually has footballing ability, so it could be true

Re: Royston to Leeds?

Leeds don't have the money to pay his wages, let alone his transfer fee Won't happen Yeah, except from their new owner Massimo Cellino owns a top half Serie A club, Cagliari, which he's looking to sell for well over hundreds of millions, and he's got millions himself in his back pocket. Except from...

Just Speculation - Shane Lowry

Released from Millwall 2 weeks ago, 24 years of age and I doubt wage would be excess. Would help our left back crisis and he's quite decent, so would be a good addition

And his free kicks aren't bad http://youtu.be/ONKunpC5X9Y

Re: New Player Songs For...

Pearce. Pearce'll tear you apart, again - to the tune of Giggs'll tear you apart When he play's in midfield And when he's in defence I just can't get enough I just can't get enough If he scores a volley or he scores with his head I just can't get enough I just can't get enough And when he starts a g...

Re: Le Fondre unsure of future

I'd actually be concerned about this story if it was genuinely good player that is unsure of their future. Sure he knows how to stick the ball in the back of the net, but his hold play is awful, passing the ball out is pretty average and offers no physical presence. It's like playing the game with 1...

Re: The Jobi McAnuff tribute thread

Never was technically superb and his shooting won't be missed, but you can't fault the guy for his time here. Gave it 100% when it mattered and will never forget that amazing run and finish vs Cardiff. Absolute Legend

Wayne Bride announcing his retirement from football is like me announcing my retirement from eating Pineapples. Doesn't make a difference to any of our lives

Re: Players Released

To be fair, this is a win win situation for Adkins next year. If he brings in youngsters and they play well, then Adkins can get the plaudits for doing so. If they come into the team and they don't do too well, then he could argue that we have a young side.

Either way, I can't see promotion next year

Re: Summer Rebuild - Your Preferred 5 To Go?

1. Adam Le Fondre - Hold up play is poor, distribution is poor, has no physical presence, quite clearly wants prem football, most of his goals have come from the spot, his arrogance isn't really needed in the team and could get a few million out of him. :| He scored 3 penalties, the same as Pogrebn...

Re: Who/what is to blame?

A bit of everything is to blame tbh. Ownership, because Adkins would have been able to spend a bit of cash to bring in the 7 or so players that he had wanted to. Player performance because they failed to turn up to the races in the games such as Yeovil, Barnsley, Sheff Wed, Millwall, Blackpool etc. ...

Re: Administration

I think the fact that Anton hasn't been around has given licence to the twats around Reading, who think they're ITK specialists because they had a chat to the barman at the millennium hotel outside the ground to spread complete untrue rumours about administration. How could we possibly go into admin...

Imagine if we end up losing 4-0 or something, end up finishing 7th, and the players do their annual lap of honour, while everyone is steaming mad.

Alex Pearce would probably go round tapping his chin and pointing upwards

Re: Royals vs Burnley - If you were the manager

I went for sit back and counter attack. With the pace on the wing that we can provide through McCleary and maybe HRK and Blackman potentially, compared to the defence of Burnley like Shackell and Duff that aren't exactly the quickest, we might be able to grab a few goals as long as we manage to mop ...
