Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

I went down there last night. It was pretty poor generally. George Legg had no chance to save the goals and made a few good saves when coming way out of his area as his defenders left him high and dry. Our right back (not sure of his name but had what looked like really dodgy blonde highlights) was ...

Re: Post Game Traffic

My self and my two boys (both under 10) went to get a few photos and autogrpahs from the players after the match and wandered back down to the 60f mereoak bus stop at 5.45. Not one bus came past until we gave up at 6.45. We walked back up to the stadium and some RFC staff rang the depot for us. They...

Re: New pitch

They reckon that it is still bedding in but will vastly improve after the Villa game as there are no football or rugby matches on it for 2 weeks. Anyone else notice the pitch was a lot higher than last season? Apparently this is because they didnt dig down deep enough before they applied the sand la...

Swift 4 - awful performance from him. Would have got 3 but he got an extra point for a killer tan, maybe the sun got to him a bit and he's suffering from delayed onset heat stroke?

A source at the club tells me its fake tan....

Wembley back to Wycombe was hell - queued for hours to get onto a standing room only train.

Re: How are you getting to Wembley?

I'm getting the last ferry home on Sunday night from a football tournament in Belgium with my son. Sleep for a couple of hours when I get home from Dover then getting a minibus up to Wembley. As for people asking about trains to Wembley from High Wycombe - I've done it a few times for England games ...

Re: BFTG - Forest

Did we stop their left winger from just running past Gunts/Popa at any point? Every single time, my sphincter twitched. One further thought, while the walk to the ground is pretty pish, its a lovely ground to arrive early to, sit by the river and watch the womens quad skulls. Anyone know what the b...

Re: BFTG - Rov'rum

Williams spent half the game limping or grimacing - prob mix of tiredness and some very niggly tackles I'd give him the next game off to recover - a very impt player for our play off chances. Pretty sure McCleary still a way from 100%, saw him grabbing his stomach a few times and still not as explo...

Re: RFC & Local Schools in the 80s/90s

They do offer some discounted tickets and stuff to the local schools, but not sure about visits. Not heard of any at my kids' school. They do some work with the local age group football teams - i.e. the penalty kicks at half time is one obvious example. Not sure beyond that. The penalty kicks at ha...

I only really supported Forest as I used to hang around with Fred Reachers daughter when she used to come over to Cyprus 5 times a year.
