Re: January Outs

Mannone off to the MLS ! that helps trim the goalkeeping department and should be nice wedge off of the wage bill as well i guess. A win win for both parties here and another job well done.
Good luck to Vito, it never really quite happened for him other than that penalty save :D

Re: BFTG Villa

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dybeo2vXcAENZJu?format=jpg It didn't look to nasty in real time, but after viewing the video replay and this pic, then i think the FA may well take some action against the Villa player? Hopefully after some stitches and the swelling goes down he may be good to go for the...

Re: January Outs

So glad Meyler has gone, and a good window as a whole. The squad is a little thinner now, but we still have some deadwood hanging around, as well as four keepers unless something happens quickly. Depending on our formation i still feel we have one to many strikers, Meite would have been a good loan ...

Re: Rumour - Mo Barrow

If we got an offer of £2m and invested all of it in a hungrier, younger winger then I am all over it. It is all about the replacement for me, if we can't get someone in who is better than Barrow then what is the point? I'd even be happy with investing in a proper LB instead and use players already ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (h) sponsored by not long to desperation

Moore is decent enough defender but he's painfully poor on the ball, he takes too long on the ball and seems incapable of passing the ball into the space in front of the player, rather playing it to feet and slowing down any momentum generated That was another issue with the Summer window. We misse...

Re: The League of 4

I would say 6 teams are in this scrap, of which the obvious 4 are in the most trouble. There always tends to be that team who has a massive fall from grace, but i really can't see anyone falling into that bracket and Brentford, Sheff W and Preston 34-36pts are just far enough ahead and also look to ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (h) sponsored by not long to desperation

I didn't watch the game. have no idea how he played bar a JLow rating I'd drop him too, weakens team with Yiadom playing on the left, but Blackett didn't look too secure and will he be here on Saturday? Left back is something that needed sorting out at the start of this season, totally stupid and i...

Re: Rumour - Tyler Blackett to Wigan

I just posted on the Tiago Ilori thread, that there is a good player in there somewhere, and i really believe the same with Blackett? he has been much improved this year but i really don't know where his best position is? I think he is a better CB than LB and he can do a half decent job at LB. Howev...

Re: Tiago llori

Shame, there was a good player in there somewhere and i really do believe he would be better suited to the Defensive Midfielder role as he is good with the ball, super quick and intelligent, and there is less chance of trouble when he plays that casual ball every now and then. Ah well, he's gone now...

Re: CONFIMRED - Matt Miazga

Its a real shame we are in this tough position in the league as i really liked the look of Osho and McIntyre when they played, but with us being in this position it really is to much of a gamble playing young players in such important games. I hope both get loaned out to Div One sides for the remain...

Re: CONFIMRED - Matt Miazga

Great work so far from Gomes, 5 great loan signings that should make us really competitive and at least give us a chance of staying up, which is all we asked for. However, players haven't really been flying out of the door so far, and the squad is probably bigger now than when Gomes first arrived. W...

Re: RUMOUR - Nelson Oliveira

Happy with this. Finally a proper striker of quality. Isn't going to score a hatfull but hopefully will act as a focal point up front and give us some attacking fluidity. That being said, just with our luck, I fully expect him to either get injured instantly or be completely shit. Also make sure he...

Re: Is Kelly off?

Potential is there, he's good on the ball and has a wicked shot, but is far to inconsistent and lightweight. however, with a move he will probably prove us all wrong lol. Personally think he would make a good first division player at a good footballing side, Luton, Wycombe, Portsmouth etc.. As for ...

Re: Is Kelly off?

What would we all consider a decent fee? In an earlier post i stated this a hard one to price? two years ago maybe $5 million on potential alone, but since then i think he's regressed as a player, yes he has the odd wonder goal in him and can pass the ball well, but there's no killer through ball i...

Re: January Outs

If the plan is to get rid of players first there won't be much time to get in any new players by which time we will have lost another 4/5 games and be destined for Div 1 You do wonder if there is now an acceptance that after 4/5 seasons (bar 1) of fighting relegation we are saying to re-build we mu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers sponsored by the Simod Cup started here

I really enjoyed that today, we made a supposedly good QPR side look average at best, yes we are work in progress but the passing style we played today looked to have a purpose about it and was played at a faster pace than under Jaap Stam's reign. If we can get the fitness/injury issues sorted out a...
